I recently had my H1B visa interview in Amsterdam Consulate. The interview went well but the Consular Officer asked additional documents and gave a yellow form under 221g administrative processing. I submitted the documents immediately on the same day of the interview but the case status on ceac website has not changed since then.

How long will it take to get the admin processing to complete. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated and if anyone else had faced the similar situation in the past

Thanks in advance

My husband did his K1 there, and got a 221g for missing documents. In 2016, it took about a week (maybe a few days more) and his visa was approved. I don’t remember the status ever changing until it said approved. There was no indication it was received.

Thanks.

Also what is the color of the slip provided after the interview (yellow/blue/pink/white)

I was reading some where that the color of the slip is important to determine the type of processing

His was white. It was for missing documents, if that helps.

Hi,

I got an email from the consulate that they are ready to issue the visa and asked me to submit the passport.

On the day I submitted the passport the case update changed to 13th August but the status still remained "Administrative Processing". Again on 15th August the case updated date changed but the status still remain same as "Administrative processing".

I'm not sure how much time it takes after submission of passport to the time the passport is ready for pick-up.

Can you share your experience so that I know if this is normal process or not?
