Not to be unkind but if you can not afford to fly there again, how did you think to pay the upcoming fees?

the AOS was $1070 and has gone up

his flight to the US if you were paying

the $165 visa fee

and all the expenses after his arrival like buying health insurance

this is not a cheap process

you can reapply but it would require more visits to his country / I made 5 and stayed a month twice, 2 months, and 3 months twice

That's not for K-1 only for CR-1/IR-1. But it a VERY small amount of everything there needs to be paid agree it's deff. not cheap.

I find the K-1 and filling internally might be cheap UPFRONT - but then it's costly if the beneficiary stays in the US and can't work during the time of their application process as well.

I had to support my husband here in Canada while we completed my application and I have to say - that was challenging for 10 months!

I have all that saved or am saving each month. I don't have any more time off from my job either! I just don't know how I'd go there. But I'm trying to figure it out

He's from the Gambia and that's not a high fraud country. But they don't do visas so that is why he had to go to Senegal

You need a lot of visits not just jumping on a plane, getting married and filling again, they want to see you actually spending time with each other.

Hmm, how well do you really know your fiancee? Is there anything in his background that maybe you don't know? With a high fraud embassy like that I might be more concerned with who I'm actually trying to bring into the country. A one week and a half visit isn't very long to really get to know someone, especially if they're trying to immigrate through you. It's a terrible thought but we see these kinds of things here too frequently I'm afraid.

How do I visit him numerous times, I have a job, and it takes almost $2000 just on the airline ticket? Not being mean but I don't know how people do that! I own a small business and can't afford to do that numerous times

if you have the money but not the time why not pay for his flights and he come visit you on 2 different occasions. that will help strengthen your case.. It also depends how long youve been together examply if youve been together 4years and only been in each other presence 1 that may seem highly suspicious to them. Me personally in the span of 3years i had visited my now husband 5 times he had nbeen to see me 4 times. At the interview i brought reciepts for my wedding dress/bridemaid dresses, reciepts for his suit hire for the wedding, the deposits for our beach house and pictures we rented out for the wedding

I know him very well. We message all day every day for the last year and we Skype every night for the last year. I know him better than I ever knew my ex husband The Gambia is not a high fraud country! He only went to Senegal because the Gambia doesn't do visas.

But wouldn't he be denied a visa for that too? To come here to me? How long could he stay? I know nothing about all this! I thought I researched everything but I was shocked we got denied!

im from the UK so i never had to apply for a visa previous to me visiting cause my country i was from was under the VWP (visa waiver program) i just filled out a form on the plane this was before it went electronic... Some countries need to apply for a b2 i believe that the tourist visa which allows them to come and vacation for a short period of time... I dont know the condition of the b2 tourist visa since but i know once i entered the country i could stay for max 90days at any 1 time then i would need to depart... Some people on the AOS forums came on the B2 tourist visa got married within a month and filed straight for the AOS to get there green card
