I'm a male US citizen and I got my k1 i129f petition approved and my fiance in the Philippines is able to now Schedule a medical appointment and embassy appointment after I pay the fee for the appointments. And I'm getting the k1 visa so we will get married here in United States so she can become a us permanent resident after getting green card but I'm confused about which DS-160 visa application forms she fills out. Is it immigrant or non-immigrant. Thank you.

DS-160 is a non-immigrant visa application, and all K1 visa applicants are to fill out this form.

K1 visas are actually a non-immigrant visa but with the intention to immigrate. So while you are checking for your case status via the Immigrant Visa Status in CEAC, you will have to fill in a Non-Immigrant Visa form (which is DS-160) instead. NOT DS-260.

Thank you very much. I thought it would be something like that because the visa is for getting married and not for becoming a permanent resident. I really appreciate your help. I do have another question. I got an email saying my fiance can make and appointment with embassy after paying a fee but the email does not mention the medical appointment I do right before the embassy appointment. Do you make both appointments at the same time?

I know that for those in Philippines, they can schedule for their interview and pre-register for their medical examination once they have their case number from NVC. I have read before on one of the forums where someone from the Philippines said you make the payment and schedule for the interview first before you schedule for the medical examination.

I don't want to give out the wrong info because at this point, it is embassy-specific. In my country, I need to have an interview date first before I can schedule for my medical examination, and it was all included in my electronic Packet 3. Perhaps you can try looking at the embassy info for Philippines or hopefully someone from Philippines will give you a more detailed and specific answer :)
