hello all

i am looking for some information on using a joint sponsor. I have been living in the UK for the past 4 years so I do not have American Income to sponsor my husband (UKC). We will have to use a joint sponsor.

My question is I am planning on using my brother who makes a good living in the US. The situation is trying to figure out the family size for the Poverty guideline to use for the 125 %.

You see, my brother (he is 38) is divorced and has two children who live with their mom. My brother also lives at home with my parents ( which is the address that we will be using to move to the US too) So do I count him as a family of 1 (himself) since his children doesn't live with him, or would I have to include his children in the family size?

Also, since he resides at my parents house (he pays them board), do I have to include them in the family size total or do I treat his income as just his? I'm not using my parents as my father is disabled and retired and my mother was unemployed for 2006 after 25 years with a company, so their tax form I dont think would meet the requirements that I need.

sorry if this sounds confusing, cause it is to me! LOL I just dont want to get to a point where someone says at the interview that I dont have enough or the right joint sponsor information.

Also, which forms do I need to use? I notice that there is an I-864, I-864A, I-864ez, etc.

Thank you so much :)
