Trying to Schedule Interview

I'm down to the wire on getting my fiance home for the holidays-

We got our case number last night, and he filled out his DS 160 and scheduled his medical interview today for Oct. 17. I just filled out that Notification of Application Readiness Form, but when we go to United Kingdom Official U.S. Department of State Visa Appointment Service (AIS website), it says our case number is not ready for appointment. I'm just confirming that the only reason it should be saying this, is because the embassy has not received our case yet from the NVC? There shouldn't be any other reason? Has anyone who got their case number/interview recently dealt with this?

The system won't let you schedule your interview with the embassy until about 24 hours after the status at NVC goes to "In Transit." We had to wait a few days after receiving our case number before it was possible to schedule the interview.

No problem! If you are anxious to bring your fiance soon, after you schedule the interview, make sure to keep checking back for earlier slots to open up. We did this and were able to move ours up to 3 weeks earlier

We booked our interview 1 day after 'In Transit' also.

I also just looked at interview dates, there is 10 days left in November open!

We originally had our interview scheduled for October 26th, but eventually rescheduled for October 14th.

Make sure you keep watching! I see new days for even October still becoming available!

Goodluck!

Oh how I wish London would allow non-DCF IR-1/CR-1 cases to schedule our own interviews.....

WOO!! Booked the interview!! With enough time to spare to get him here before my birthday (and company christmas party, haha)

My case updated to "In Transit" sometime between 10AM and 2PM PST yesterday- i checked the tracking of my case being shipped to the embassy using http://www.k1-visa.net/Home/After-Filing-the-K1/TRACK/DHL-Tracking this link, and it said it wouldn't be there til Friday- but i took the recommendation of everyone else who said to just "keep checking" and my fiance was able to book his interview today at 845PsT!! So literally less than 24 hours. I'm so surprised and so relieved.

We booked the interview for Nov 17, which gives him 3 weeks to get his visa (he wants to fly Dec 7), but we're going to keep checking to see if he can bump that up at all. His medical is Oct 18.

Good luck to you Kat, and everyone else!! Keep me posted if you guys need help or anything!
