Hopefully someone can share some light on this as we are so confused. Phillipine fiancé finally got her court decision granting annulment after bribing the judge to speed to ruling up. Now for last month clerk at the court tells us we have to wait on solicitor general letter to reply before we can start getting it registered. We thought law says he has 15 days to appeal ruling. But clerk tells us he is back logged and can not tell us when that letter we be returned. We are in limbo as to what to do next. Assuming we can not file for visa yet and our two year dead on meeting is up next month. Which means if not filed by then, have to plan another trip to phillipines to meet which means more money once again. Can anybody clarify this procedure at the end of this process or what we can do to speed this up. Getting so don't know what to believe or trust. Her lawyer does not answer her calls for awhile to answer questions. Thanks for all advise

Before we married, I visited my spouse in her home country a dozen times over the course of 8 years. I heartily recommend another visit for you to the Philippines. Yeah, it's more money, but it also means you'll know her better before marriage. Can't put a price on that knowledge. Good luck!

Yes I know meeting each other can be better and yes flying over again can be expensive. But also is the annulment process, visa process and flying her and her two kids over if and when visa is approved. Not all of us have that type of money, so anything we can do to make the dead line would help. Thanks for your advice

Until she has the annotated CEMAR from PSA she is not free to marry. (you apply for the CENOMAR but will be issued the annotated CEMAR after annulment)

She must be free to marry in the Philippines before you file.

USCIS may not know all the rules of the Philippines but USEM does and if USCIS gets the petition before that moment in time, and approves it.. USEM will kick it back to USCIS and you just wasted more time and money. I know of a few people that didn't wait.. and were sorry later.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

I know to wait until she get that paper work. But is it possible to speed this up and get it within 4-5 weeks? We have been told a lot of things by the clerk in court house even while waiting for judgement. Then after waiting three months, they took a bribe and had judgement in two days. I don't trust what they tell us anymore

There is only one way to speed things up in the Philippines, the proper application of "grease"

Welcome to the Philippines ... as the saying goes - It is more fun in the Philippines!

I don't know how you can speed things up unless she (or her lawyer) knows someone in the solicitor general's office.

Three months? Five months?

That seems like a long time. Maybe someone at the solicitor general's office was gutom and needed a snack.
