NVC Still hasn't received my case! How do I talk to USCIS

Good Morning!

Our petition was approved on August 12, 2016. I have been calling the NVC weekly to check and they told me to wait. When I called last night, they said it should have been there by then and asked my to send a copy of my I-797 so they could research it. Does anyone have any experience with this-like how quick do they get started on that?

Also, I tried to call USCIS because I see on here where people request to speak to a 2 tier supervisor...I can't get a person on the line. All just automated and keeps telling me they approved my case. How do you get a person on the phone? Sorry for maybe a stupid question, but none of the commands I push are getting me there

When you call USCIS, sometimes you have to call again, and again....and again.

When we were going through the initial process I had them on redial and just kept redialing until I got a human. If you call at odd hours, sometimes you have better luck.

Ok. I called at like 8 EST last night. They said they close at 6, so I'm guessing since they only had a hour left, they didn't want to answer. I work 2 jobs so it's hard to call during the day :/. But I will keep trying. Do you think it's ok to call them while NVC is doing their research? I just don't want to cause more confusion, but I need to know where my case is at!
