i received an rfe for my step-son which stated that he needs a tb test which we will do. but it also talks about sending a 693 in which, since he came over on a k-2 visa, he already had a physical, and the the government's own website states that they do not need to get another one. i was thinking of scheduling an infopass appt to see if i could get a definitive answer. for those of you who have scheduled infopass appts for stepchildren, whose name and birthdate did you type into the computer when scheduling the appointmet? yours, your spouse's, or the child you received the rfe for? thanks

I definitely recommend an Infopass appointment in this situation. My husband had a similar RFE, and the district office pointed us in the right direction.

I think you'll want to enter the child's name (the person whose case is affected) in the Infopass form. That way, they'll know which case to look at ahead of time. You shouldn't have a problem attending with him.

Best wishes!

that's just it. it reads "please submit a properly completed and signed form i-693 for Juan *******(medical examination of aliens seeking adjustment of status). the medical examination must be conducted by a physican who is on the list of civil surgeons approved by uscis". then the next paragraph specifically talks about getting a tuberculin test, which is fine because that was not done before. to me, it sounds like they are asking for the complete exam. did they lose it? or is it clumsy government-speak, and they just want the tb part filled in on the 693 form somewhere, and the rest can be blank because he already has his physical performed before coming over?
