My wife is a LPR and I am going to file my adjustment of status application. I have been working on my student status from last three years and have sufficient income to qualify for poverty guideline. So, we have decided to use my income for I-864 as we both reside in a same house and I have earned my income legally.

My wife was on dependent on her parents during year 2013 so she has not filed individual tax return.

She worked for couple of months in year 2014 so she has filed 2014 tax return as a single.

She also worked for couple of months in year 2015. We got married in year 2015 and we both filed the tax return jointly in year 2015.

My wife is still unemployed since April, 2015 and I have a question to fill from I-864, affidavit of support.

Q 1: What she supposed to put for current individual income if she is unemployed on part 6 box 2?

Q 2: For Q 18.a. Does she have to mark yes in Q 18.a. even after she was dependent for year 2013?

Q 3: What should she put in 19 abc. as she was on dependent on her third most recent tax year? Does she suppose to write individual income in 19 abc ?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.
