Hello Friends,

My case stalled in December 2016. Last notice I received was in early December; my online case status showed that an "interview was scheduled." I waited for an interview date letter for two months and when none came I contacted the USCIS in February and again in April of 2017. Both times, I was told that my case has still not been assigned an interview date and that no interview letter has been mailed. My online case status never changed and still shows that interview was scheduled in early December. It is June, and I feel like my case is stuck in bureaucratic limbo or has gotten lost. Can anyone please let me know who I should contact next? Congressman? etc. Thanks for any suggestions.

At this point, I would strongly suggest contacting your senator or representative. We did this when waiting for AOS to process since it ran long. The senator's office contacted USCIS to look into it, I had confirmation that my case had been approved the next day! Can't hurt.

It sounds like you just need some morale support when you go - is there a friend that could come along and wait with you?  That might help put your nerves at rest a little bit.

What a day!!!! A bit of a surreal moment.... I've waited all these months for this day and now it's finally over!... 

Thanks to each and every one of you for all the help and support that you have offered over the months... It made the frustrations and tensions a little bit easier...

I also mailed in my passport application to the passport agency right after the interview...  Praying that everything will work out and I'll get it back in time for the trip... I will definitely let you guys know how that goes!
