Thank you shezi. And congrats on becoming a US citizen I hope mine goes smooth as yours ...

Sorry Ramz, there's a mis-understanding somewhere, I'm in the same position as cdneh, in line for interview since 11/17/16 and still waiting.

Hello,

I had my citizenship interview on April 27th and passed it. It took place in Boston. It's been18 days and I haven't received any mail with Oath ceremony date yet. How was everyone else's experience? How long did you guys have to wait until the mail came in? This is so annoying! The worst part is if you go to their website it says "my interview was scheduled". Lol. I guess they don't update their website at all!

I had interview last month so my online case show in line for oat scheduled. it didnt mail out from there yet. I waiting still since then for a month already. My guess is they probably wait to have big ceremony next month June 22 at Hynes Convention center. could be 2500 people there on that day. Getting ready for big day though. P.S. Boston is big city so it might take lonnger than another state.

My interview was on 3/15, status changed to In-Line for Oath on 3/24. Then it changed to Oath Scheduled on 4/24 and I received the letter on 4/26 for the Oath on 5/9.

I was also anxious just like you since many applicants with Interviews after me had already become USCs, So I made 2 InfoFail appointments, which were complete waste of time and energy. You can see my timeline for details.

your timeline is very smooth. Other people get bother with their timeline because they're waiting so long time getting letter with Oath ceremony was scheduled.

I didn't compare my timeline with other people from different FO. I was comparing it with other applicants from Boston FO just like me. I know tons of applicants from other FO are still waiting like cdneh and Shezi.

When we first applied for N400, we were told that we would be served according to our priority dates. But obviously, it wasn't the case as many applicants got their interviews after me had already become USC while I was still in-line for oath and of course I'm talking about Boston FO. I just wish that USCIS would be more transparent and consistent with their policy and procedures. At Boston FO, when applicants are approved, some of them are given the Oath letters right after but many are not. And those that are not have to wait longer than those that are despite being interviewed earlier. I guess the FIFO policy doesn't apply to USCIS.

IMO, the frustration starts when people start looking at what's going on somewhere and start comparing those timelines. It elevates expectations which courts disappointment. I think that cdneh and I, whilst very happy for everyone seeing movement, are pretty well reconciled to a 'c'est la vie' position :D

And another thing... I fell last week and broke my wrist pretty badly so, as you can see, not only are there other things going on but also I wouldn't particularly enjoy a trip to Memphis right now... 10 hours in a car, chasing pain meds?! Oooh I don't think so... There could be a divorce! :jest:

Oh no! I've done that, and it hurt like the very blazes.  I hope (gasp) that you don't get called there until you feel like making the trip!!

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
