Also, Your case is waiting for an Interview date just like majority of us. For example, mine is in the same category as yours since Dec. 5th and I am in Dallas Local Office. Dallas and Memphis seem to be pretty behind, compared to other locations. I noticed that people from June, July still haven't had their interviews scheduled in Dallas office.

The only exception, I noticed is username "Okramango" from September Filers. This could be an expedite service, for example, people serving in the US Military.

I'm not making it complicated at all. They do not count weekends, or holidays. Never have, never will.  You can find THAT on their website. And multiple places in threads here for years. Every action or query, including FIOA requests states working days. All government establishments are the same way. All of them.

 

And I am not complaining about waiting either. Not a word. In fact I've said more than once, if you'd read back,  I am not bothered. People who are worried are saying I ought to call, and I' m not doing that, because it is too soon. That was not anything I'm concerned about, it was what was suggested to me.

If they don't count Weekends and holidays, I shouldn't have applied for N-400 on 10/11, my eligibility date will fall way past that time and my application would have been denied for early filing and would have been for many of VJ filers. I don't believe there is such a thing of USCIS counting only business days. If they say 90 days it means 90 days and not 90 business days.

What we send them is based on calendar days. 90 days to marry on a K1, 90 day window to file. What they do  at their end is based on working days. As is 'allow us 30 working days to review your documents'. 'Your passport will be returned to you in 7 - 10 business days."

 

You are all certainly free to believe whichever method you choose.

New here, adding myself to the October filers. Filed  10/15/16. NOA 10/27/16. Check cashed 10/31/16. 11/8/16 biometric notice received. 11/29/16 electronic notice for " case in line for interview ". Now patiently waiting.

I fully respect what you are saying, please don't get me wrong. But in the automated message they say 90 days, if they are referring to 90 business days, why couldn't they say in the message?

ok, we've updated our's. We were originally scheduled for March 6th but that's when our first baby is due so we've received a new appointment for March 27, 2017 at 1PM (Norfolk, VA)

Wow! This was so close!

 

On Friday I got the online notification that my interview date had been scheduled. I assumed the interview would be between March 20-24 so I booked a flight to France for March 29th. It was the last day for a steal of a deal of a promotion (savings of $400). 

 

I just received my interview letter (that was fast!)...

No, I didn't. I didn't even receive any mail today. I don't know why mailman didn't come today but this bothers me. Can you please let me know when you receive your letter.

Hi Frannyglass,

 

First of all congratulations. I have a question. Can you travel abroad after the interview? Some of my friends told me that I won't be able to travel after the interview until I become a citizen. This didn't sound right to me but I'm confused a little bit. Since you are traveling after the interview I'm assuming they are wrong.
