Does anyone know how long it takes from the date you get your biometrics done to interview date letter?

Does anyone know how long it takes from the date you get your biometrics done to interview date letter?

That's one of those questions that depends on a lot of things. How busy they are, volume of applicants, how the planets are aligned ;)

Really, I've no idea. I've been looking at filers from months previous, just to get an idea.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Mine was received on 10/17 , its been almost 2weeks.

I'm getting so worried. Since you had this experience , i think I should be patient and wait.

No problem kwanggrawl, happy to share.

I would definitely recommend waiting. The agent I last spoke to said I should wait 30-45 days. If the first couple of agents had said that, I would not have worried about the first application getting lost or otherwise.

Although most people on the forums, through my review of previous months of applicants, appear to show a quick turn between receipt of application and check cashing/credit card/charge and NOA, I expect there will always be some outliers like us. The lesson here is that we should not worry too much and be patient.

Not also that with respect to my second application, they said there was no guarantee I would not be charged. I asked if I should just cancel the credit card or block the charge and they said there was a possibility that if I did that, they would send me an invoice for the application fee and additional processing charges. ?!?!

Apparently, each application is processed post receipt in the lockbox and the chances of them checking if a particular A# is already in process seems low.

Will wait to see what happens and keep you all updated.

Not also that with respect to my second application, they said there was no guarantee I would not be charged. I asked if I should just cancel the credit card or block the charge and they said there was a possibility that if I did that, they would send me an invoice for the application fee and additional processing charges. ?!?!

Apparently, each application is processed post receipt in the lockbox and the chances of them checking if a particular A# is already in process seems low.

Will wait to see what happens and keep you all updated.

By the way the USPS called me the other day and left voicemail that my package already been sent to USCIS P.O.box 660064 but its supposed to be 660060 and I tried to contact them back but still can't find out. I think i put the right number but still I'm not sure if I'm wrong or they sent to the wrong P.O.box.

Might have to send the new if not hear anything from USCIS for 30days ???

Tried doing an early biometrics today at the proposed Application Service center. The guard asked me to see if the Immigration officer will allow. waited for like 5 minutes for the officer and the officer asked why I was there early, I explained that I will be out of the country and showed him my travel plans. he then asked me to come 1 day before the day I travel, to which I responded I travel on a Sunday, so you mean Saturday. He then mentioned to come over at 2PM ET today. I was like Thank you.

Although the entire centre was empty and I could have been out in 15 mins, he asked me to come at 2. So i guess I'll try at 2 again.

Meh. Come back at 2? I hope it isn't a long trip for you, back and forth. But you will at least get it out of the way, and can travel without worrying about it. Let us know how you get on!

Ok, got my first green card 1/-14/14... sent my N400 October 24th received October 26th check cashed October 31st but not cleared yet so can really say what date the check was process till it's cleared if that helps.
