Good morning, just checked my case online and got this: "On October 24, 2016, we scheduled you for a fingerprint appointment and mailed you an appointment notice for Receipt Number NBC*XXXXXXXX" So I'm just waiting for the actual letter to arrive. As soon as I receive letter I will attempt a walk in :)

I will be doing a walkin and based on the timelines I'm guessing I'm getting Fingeprinting on later than the 4th Nov. I'm out of country at that time so I will be doing a walk in i guess on the 4th

A_Singh, are you flying somewhere? I was thinking, if you take your appointment letter once you get it, and your proof of travel such as tickets, they might be more inclined to let you do walk-in. Just a thought.

yes I have an international trip planned from the 6th to 13th of November. Based on the timelines, the last biometrics is on the 4th (which is already a friday), I am in no way cancelling my trip and I've already bought the tickets and the hotels are booked. SO I will DEFINITELY be doing a walk in.

I will take my itinerary and other details like you mentioned.

Is there any other way to go for early biometrics, I've seen people do early biometrics, but was always curious how its done.

You can try a walk in, as long as you get the letter in time, and I would hope you would. Apparently they sometimes ask why you are there early, but if you have your itinerary that should explain why. Some offices flat out refuse to do them early. All you can really do is give it a try.

There is a thread here on VJ, I will give you the link. It lists various offices, and whether or not people have been able to do a walk in. The thread begins 4 years ago, but page 13 lists entries from 2016. Start there and work backwards, until you see an office that seems the one they would send you to.

This is a good thread, thanks of referencing it. No one has tried an early walk in at the Memphis office, i'll be filing my N-400 next month and may consider an early walk-in

No worries! I will be going through Memphis as well, but as it is more than a 6 hour round trip for me, I won't chance it. Would be really annoying to go all the way there and get told no .

Hi late I filing , but I sent my package it was suppose to go to Dallas , since on Monday but tracking it today it's went to Arizona I don't know if it's usps mistake or that's where it's suppose to go too, any one experience such cos am freaking out.?

Ramz, you addressed your package to the Dallas lockbox, and your tracking shows it is going to Arizona? Check and make sure you are entering your tracking number correctly. I've never heard of that happening before.

If you are sure the number you have put into the tracking is correct, you can check with USPS themselves.

Mistakes happen, Ramz, if you do a search in the Google custom search box on the top right hand side of this page, you will find you aren't the first person to make this mistake.

From what I can gather, they will either return it to you, so you can send it to the right place, or they will forward it. Did you sign up for email/text updates? Did you send it return receipt requested?

All you can do now is wait and see what happens. Watch your bank, so if you sent a cheque you can see if it is cashed. If you asked for the mail or text updates, keep an eye out for that as well.

Yes I sighed up for email and text, and yes to return receipt requested. Just a mess cos I was suppose to have file since the 17th and today is 26, thinking I was done,now am not cos it's more time been delayed. Just hope they forward it . Fingers crossed and I'll be checking my account to see if the check will get cashed or not. Thank you cdneh.
