So....I had an appointment for tomorrow morning and just got a phone call that it is cancelled....FML

 

its so frustrating that you wait nearly a year, your home gets flooded, you take a day off work to accommodate the interview and USCIS informs you only a day in advance. Very disappointed.

Hello all. Here is an update. For future reference, it took me almost a year from sending in my N-400 form in October of last year(2016) to receive my interview letter and interview date in September of the following year.(2017) Try not to be worried if you have to wait longer than usual; we are dealing with a huge gov bureaucracy - sometimes files can get "lost" in some pile of documents. Eventually it will all work out.

Seiben and I both were rescheduled for October 11, got our notices this past Saturday. Delayed 1 month

So, my interview was on 25th of May, 2017. Received RFE and returned all documents on 02nd of June 2017. Today it is exactly 120 days after the USCIS received my response for RFE. I am sharing the inquiries I did in the meantime, bottom line still waiting :angry::wacko::angry:

 

06/05/2017: Called USCIS-No resolution

07/06/2017: INFOPASS Appointment- Told to contact after 2 weeks

07/07/2016: Called USCIS- No resolution

07/15/2017: Received Email from USCIS- No Resolution

07/25/2017: Request for Ombudsman case assistance 

07/29/2017: Service Requested on USCIS Website 

08/11/2017: Received email from USCIS saying they are unable to provide any details

09/20/2017: Email from Ombudsman, advised waiting 60 days.

09/22/2017: Submitted case query to Senator Schumer, acknowledged the receipt.

09/30/2017: Case status inquiry submitted to USCIS Website 

10/08/2016: Application Package Sent

10/31/2016: Early Biometric Done (Walk-In)

12/06/2016: In Line for Interview

04/20/2016: Online Status Changed to "Interview was Scheduled" 

05/25/2017: Interview Date- Approved!

06/01/2017: Reply to RFE (N-14) Sent

09/20/2017: Email from Ombudsman confirming that they got in touch with USCIS, advised to wait 60 days.

09/22/2017: Request to find out about the case to Senator, acknowledged the receipt of inquiry.

10/02/2017: Ombudsman’s office notified that USCIS made a decision on the case and I will be informed by USCIS within 30 days.

10/02/2017: Talked with a Tier-2 officer and he informed my case was in line for oath since September 22nd, 2017.

10/10/2017: Online status changed to “Inline for Oath ceremony”

10/14/2017: Online status changed to “Oath Ceremony Letter Mailed”

11/03/2017: OATH CEREMONY!
