I certainly understand your situation. At this point I've just decided not to think about it. I've found that time goes by faster that way. Lol ?

my husband wants me to leave immediately once i have the. isa on hand. tha problem is i have a work which I need to terminate before I leave. that is why i need to deteremine if how long will i receive the visa. i dont want to quit my job beacuse i dont have the visa yet, but my husband told me i should beacuse the visa will come soon. its unprofessional if i just leave my work without prior notice even for a week. haist!

I understand your position. I'm actually going through the same thing. I'm sure you'll have some time to give proper notice to your work. Usually when a visa is issued, there is some time (in most cases a few months) alotted to make the move.

I have still not heard back about my visa.... approaching a month now.

Me too, I am disengaging myself in excitement of receiving my visa. So frustrated because I cant be able with my husband the soonest as what we've planned.Which that's the only purpose of our petition, to live and work together in harmony. I would totally understand the delays if we got a 221g, but all the flows are smooth and easy. Some people I knew got their visas in 3-4 days span, also I have the earlier interview date than them. If they say background check, the USCIS did it already for sure, from marriage to criminal records before they made the approvals. The last update of my status was on October 7, nothings follow. So would not be frustrated of this situation?

What consulate did you interview at? Did they approve you on the same day with no 221(g)? What status have you been seeing since? Has the status changed at all?

Mine is exactly the same, but only I was not given a 221(g), and I was interviewed in Montreal. My status says "Ready" since before my interview. The only thing that changed was the "status update date"... everything else stayed the same, and it still says ready. I have no clue whats going on, and the consulate is not responding to e-mails.

Yeah i know how you feel...I guess there is nothing we can do but wait and hope that everything will be alright so we can go on with our lives...wish you all the best and keep updating what is going on with your case I'll do the same...I found this forum very helpful and I wish I knew some things before going to the interview because I was relaxed knowing that everything we do is true and legal but now we have to explain ourselves to some strangers that we truly love each other and want to be together forever.

Thank you for the well wishes :) I wouldn't worry about it. I mean the way I look at it is, "hey...do all the checks you want... just let me know you're doing them so I know that's what the hold up is". When there's a lack of communication, it gets me to worry about things like did they just forget about me under a pile of work? With that said, you have your paper work in line, I'm sure, and your relationship is legitimate, so it's just a waiting game at this point. I will definitely update as soon as I hear something, and thank you in advance for doing the same. I'll pray for everyone in our situation :)
