Hello,

I have a few questions. My wife arrived here in K-3 status last November and I haven't started the AOS paperwork yet.

1. Is there a time frame to complete this?

2. The visa expires 2 years from November, so I'm assuming she can travel back to Brazil with no problem?

3. Is the first step to schedule an appointment with the doctor?

Thanks in advance!

Wayne

Why not apply for AOS now? What are you waiting for? Her K-3 visa is only good for two years and allows her to return to her country of origin. But, what are you waiting for. Just get it going. You will probably be better in the long run. The application fees continue to rise so get it going soon. If you apply now, the entire process should be over before mid summer.
