Hi guys,

 

it's been awhile but I think I finally have some movement with this process being over. So my fiancé did his interview February 9th but they could not give immediate approval due to medical not reaching Embassy. After constant nagging, we received an email yesterday stating that they have received the medical. During this time, our status date changed about 2 times, I emailed the Embassy  today see if  it has been reviewed. I checked Ceac and the creation date and status date changed to today's date and it now says non immigrant visa instead of the previous immigrant. Is this a good indication that we have been approved?

yes Jass,when it converts to a non immigrant visa that is indication they will print the visa soon afterwards,I cant specify how many days,but for us it was fairly quick but each country may have different times. when ours changed to non immigrant,it went to administrative processing then changed to issued. hope this helps

Finally got a hold of NVC, case had been sent out to Embassy on February 17th. So it has been about a 3 week turnover. It was a hurry up and wait situation, but now it will be picking up steam again.!!

10/28/16 ~ Sent I-129F

10/31/16 ~ Delivered

11/03/16 ~ NOA1 email/text confirmation. Transferred to CA center.

11/09/16 ~ NOA1 letter received

01/25/17 ~ Case Approved

My fiance landed in Chicago last night at 9pm,she said the border patrol/customs people were very nice to her. We spent the night in Chicago and we are back home today. She got to see snow for the first time on the way home but she is not at all fond of the cold weather :jest:

Awesome that's good to hear. My fiancée is also flying into Chicago. She thinks she's excited to see snow and looks forward to the cold weather. I don't think she's going to be too excited when the reality of what real cold is like :rofl:

i bundled her so well she could hardly move lol but she was warm

My visa was approved on the 23rd, but I still do not have my passport, in the state your life is issued and it is in the final process how long should I wait to be sent with the package
