I have already been shopping for a winter coat,well 2 actually lol but yes,she is not going to enjoy the winter weather. she complains as is when its in the 70's there

Hello All,

 

Hope everyone is doing well. I do have another question regarding the documents my fiancee needs to prepare for the interview. For the I-129F, we only printed a single copy of everything we sent out when filing for the I-129F petition. We thought that would be okay since we still have a soft copy of everything saved in both our computers. Would it be okay to just reprint and resign everything?

My fiancée and I didn't save a 2nd hard copy either. I assumed the backup copy was just incase they lost it or if an RFE was issued. Also, so my fiancée could review it before the interview so nothing would be a surprise to her. 

But I really don't see any point in reprinting the entire thing and resigning it all, they already have all of that on file. Seems redundant.

 

I'm interested in seeing what other people say on here about this topic.

You don't need those documents for the interview - your next stage is the ds-160. The copy of the i-129f is for your own information (and in case of an rfe or i-129f lost in transit)

My fiance interview is this upcoming week. I'm excited but nervous at the same time, I won't make it to his interview. I gave him my last 3 years of tax returns, last 3 months of pay stubs, bank account statement, and job verification letter. We've also complied boarding passes, chat logs, and pictures from October to present, since the I-129F application was sent in October. The last time I visited him (1 month ago), I filled out the affidavit of support and wrote and signed a new letter of intent. Hopefully we aren't missing anything.

My fiancee landed in the US on 2/9 and already has her SSN card. We got our marriage license last week and scheduled our courthouse wedding for St. Patty's Day! As far as interview tips are concerned: expect the unexpected. They asked her for very little in the way of relationship evidence, asked a total of 3 questions, and really didn't give her much grief. Yet somehow it took her a total of three hours for everything to be completed. My recommendation: bring as much relationship evidence as possible, practice the sample questions you can find here on VJ and elsewhere, and expect to be grilled harshly. We were as prepared as we could have been so it made the interview a breeze. I was far more stressed than my fiancee and I wasn't the one being interviewed!!

As I previously posted my fiancée was told she passed after a short interview and was congratulated by the interviewing agent. She checked the status today and this is what it shows.

Thanks for the reply. I should've used the search function first. It does seem everyone gets put to AP for a time. Her panic turned into my panic lol.

Fiance interview was today, visa approved pending medical. Medical was done 1 month ago, but of course it hasn't made it to the embassy yet, smh. He said they asked him about 3-5 questions (he was nervous so he can't quite remember). For those who will read this in the future, don't worry if your name is spelled wrong on NOA1 or NOA2, my fiance name was spelled incorrectly on both and it didn't matter at the interview. Just make sure name is spelled correctly on visa application. Good luck everyone!!!

One more update about the AP situation. It already changed to issued, so clearly some premature worrying. The process for us has gone so smoothly and much faster than anticipated. I've thought about all the horror stories you read on here had finally caught up to me.
