Hello fellow October filers, 

 

I'm just checking in. We saw a lot of quick progress between December and January, I had my medical exam as soon as possible after I received my interview date...and now I wait for the 28th February. The wait seems to be so much longer than waiting for the NOAs (especially when you are a grad student and work from home/procrastinate daily!) ...but at least it gives me time to get all of my affairs in order. 

 

Any good news from anyone? Any interviews passed? Anyone got any tips on the interview, what more/less to take with to the interview, etc etc?

Fiance' received text message from 2go last night,she will be picking up her visa tomorrow from their office.  as long as all info on the visa is correct she will be flying on the 24th. next few days are going to take forever to pass by.

Hey - remember that you wont be getting an immigrant packet attached to your envelope...  a lot of things referred us to this envelope so we were concerned for about a day that we were missing/lost something.

 

Since we are K1's we do not have this immigrant packet - so dont pull your hair out looking for it.

Thank you for info,because we would have been trying to find it lol. looks like you got yours yesterday   congrats. she picked it up about an hour ago,info correct so she is flying in on 24th to chicago.

Sad, I went to the interview alone, and now I was given a role that my fiancé should come to my country to have an interview together, I do not understand the reason why the consul caused that, it is very difficult for him to come to my country, someone Can you tell me why the officer wants to have an interview for the two

Hi Sadface,

 

I recommend you have a look at the November filer's thread.  There is a member there - @geowrian who posts a report each day of the cases handled from the end of October filers through November.  There are still a few cases waiting from the very end of October - I guess yours is one of them.

 

you need to look for November filers thread 2 - as we ran to over 220 pages on our first thread and they closed it.

 

Maximum waiting time - you can ask for your case to be looked at after five months I think - so around 150 days.

I feel your pain. My fiancée is from Vietnam and it seems extremely difficult for her to be granted a visa without me there by her side at the time of the interview. I am planning to be there for her interview even though it is on the other side of the world. It does make it very difficult for me to spend another $1,000+ on a plane ticket plus other expenses and to take a week or two off from work just to prove to the US Immigration interviewer that we have a real relationship.

 

Your fiance might just have to bite the bullet and show up there if that is what they want.

Go to msn then travel section - flight search. Got some really reasonable flights there, flown to Taiwan for less than five hundred in October
