Well they are dealing with the Philippines, thus why I responded since that's what I'm familiar with and I thought he would understand that answer?

Ah, gotcha. I saw the Thai flag in his/her profile and didn't want him/her to get confused! (I know it confused me when I first started out.)

Just use your account statements or ask them to write a letter stating they don't issue "an account statement letter" and attach that letter with your other statements. LOL

Congrats on your progress.

Jim, I can't believe you're still waiting on that NOA2. I logged back in just to check on you. They need to get their together at USCIS.

I would argue that the immigration process itself is far more difficult than the Thai language, especially when you have an attractive teacher! :jest:

Yes, the sub-form is awesome for Thai-specific stuff, especially after the NVC phase of the process and through the embassy part of the process. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have as I've just gone through the process myself.

Her visa was approved on 24 January and she received it via Thai Post EMS on 27 January. We booked her flight the same day! She lands in Philly on Thursday. Good luck to you and your fiance(e) and I hope you're reunited soon!

Well, just a couple days for you now.  And of course they are calling for snow to celebrate her arrival.  555  Good times.

Good luck and hope she doesn't run into any travel delays.

We're counting down the hours. She leaves in less than 24 hours! She's excited to see snow. Thank you for the well-wishes!

Hi there,

I get lots of help from here and thank to everyone!

Our NOA2 got through on the 23rd Jan and I'm trying to call NVC and have some questions.

1. is : 1-603-334-0700 the right number to call for Immigration Visa?

(some says K1 is verified as nonimmigration visa so im confused where to call)

2. when is the good time to call? and which option out of 7?

   - I just tried called three times, held for 15mins min. no answer.

   - #3 is the right option? it says if NVC received my mail(?) option

Much appreciated.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone :)

We are also October filers and though i never posted just lurked through this thread a LOT! all your posts have helped me tons and  VJ was really my go to place to make sense of the visa process. Thank you so very much!

I have to say i know every case is different but we were so lucky with how fast it went (less than 4 months) and i must praise everyone from USCIS to the NVC to the Paris Embassy, all the people we talked to were professional, kind and helpful.

I'll be moving to the US next month and just hope AOS goes as smoothly as the K1.

Good luck to all of you here, hope everyone gets approved and reunited with their loved ones very soon. Take care.

Congrats to all who have made it this far... and best wishes to those who are still waiting  (JIM!?!?)

I remember busting this K1 application into FEDEX (Kinkos 24 hour) 10:00pm on a Sunday night back in October....    Then the waiting... and waiting... and fretting... and irritating SAGOT   LOL

Fiance's Interview was yesterday Feb 8th in Manila ... CEAC status says "ISSUED" as of this morning.

Word of note:   The interviewer was a PHALLUS (trying to be polite)

He grilled her and accused her of just wanting a green card.

He told her "You do know you are number 3 - are you ok with that?    You are ok that he was arrested for Domestic Violence?   No woman wants that - it seems to me you are in it just for the visa"

She had a copy of the court transcripts/official records from 1999 and says - "No - the charges were dropped.  He was not convicted of Domestic Violence" as she pointed to the checkbox where it shows Counts 1 and 2 were dismissed.   Kept grilling her over stupid things.     :o

Now we just waiting for the courier to deliver to the mall.    And then that stupid CFR or whatever that is. :jest:

Well, folks, the day has finally arrived! After over 24 hours in transit from Thailand, my fiancee's plane touched down just a few short hours ago. What a journey it's been so far and we haven't even started the AOS paperwork yet!

To everyone who is still waiting on NOA2, NVC, your interview, medical exam, administrative processing, etc: there IS light at the end of the tunnel. We were incredibly fortunate to have everything move fast and I want to encourage you to "keep the faith" and remember that love conquers all. Cheesy? Sure. Probably because I'm over the moon to be reunited with my love.

Good luck to everyone and thank you a thousand times over for your encouragement, advice, and camaraderie throughout this process. Onward to AOS

Just say NO to LDR LOL.. you can be side by side from here on out.

Congrats to you both.

Lucky you lots of Thai food in your future.
