Congratulations to everyone! Hoping that all the others get their NOA2 soon! :)

I do have one concern regarding the I-134, I read somewhere that I need to submit a tax transcript for the past 3 years? The thing is, I spent 4-5 years in PH to study then came back last October 2015 and began working November 2015. How do I deal with this?

from what I read on the 134 instructions, providing tax returns is only if you are self employed. 12 months bank statements, and a letter from the bank showing when the account was opened and available balance. letter from your employer stating wages/compensation.  that should be all required unless self employed

Sorry been off the grid. I was with my lady last Thursday when she physically picked up her visa. We then went to book her flight and a good, thing as they said YOU can't travel one way on,this visa...which I would have bought it as and she would, have been in a,pickle on Feb 11th as she tried to,board. I paid, with, miles for the leg to Addis one way and then bought a r/t for $856 to Seattle. Anyone else heard of,this pitfall?Anyway had a great week there which was cool knowing while I was in,flight she had her interview. It was smooth. One unticked box,by the doctor that she had to return that day and have it sorted out. Pretty, much 4,months door,to,door from NOAA1

I wonder if this is country specific? I almost bought round trips tickets for us from Seattle to Manila (you know just have her use the return portion)...but come to find out if the person doesn't leave the initial leg of the trip they cancel the rest of the ticket. I didn't ask about a one way ticket if it was valid for her, but It doesn't matter because I got roundtrip ticket since it was cheaper!

Anyways, I'm not sure of the answer and I guess since it's a non-immigrant visa they think it requires a round trip fare? I vaguely remember someone saying in a thread that they are suppose to honor 1 way tickets with the K-1 visa though.

Some airline employees wrongfully deny boarding to people on K1 visas with one-way tickets because the visa itself is technically a nonimmigrant visa with immigrant intent.

It kinda made sense because what if you don't marry... then it logically needs to be r/t. The difference was $100 but once she is here we hope to cancel the return and, maybe recover $50. At this stage I didn't care as you cam imagine. I wanted to book the flight and have a committed, flight for her.

Hi All,

I have another question. Say we get our NVC case number by first week of February, do we have to set the medical appointment and interview right away? We were planning on scheduling both medical and interview by March or April since my fiancee will be the one covering the fees and she's still saving up for it. I also plan on going to the Philippines by July, and go back to Washington with her by end of July or first week of August.

Hi cob821,

You don't have to schedule the medical and interview right away. Just keep in mind that your approved petition is valid for 4 months. Your approval date is 01/19/2017, therefore the interview must take place before 05/18/2017. If you for any reason are not able to set up the interview within that time frame, you must contact the US Embassy and ask them to extend the period of the petition for another 4 months. Once visa is issued, it's valid for 6 months since the day of issuance.
