Interview was today and approved in Lilongwe, Malawi. Relatively hassle free. Visa in hand next Thursday. Wish I could kick some other approvals along right now!!!! Congrats to those who got done in the last week. Update timelines and I am sure we will have AOS questions soon enough.

Actually I was heading there in 12 days anyway to celebrate Tet. I only speak a bit of Vietnamese (mostly involving food) but her mom loves it when I say; "Me oi, lai day!"

It's amazing how even speaking a few words of a language will endear you to people. My fiancee's friends were impressed with my ability to speak Thai and I'm getting better every day!

My fiance had her interview at the Mumbai consulate today and she was approved for her K1 visa

 

I want to thank the VJ forums community from the bottom of my heart w/o whom we could not have done it from filing to approval in 80 days. I know there are still some October filers who are patiently waiting for their approvals and I am hoping their approvals come through soon. Hang tight.
