Fiance just had her visa today (1/3), interview went well and she was approved on the spot  

 

Super simple process, she should have her visa in hand in 10 days

 

Entire process took us just shy of 3 months. Good luck everyone waiting.

Congrats. You can start checking out ticket prices but you probably have been looking already.

NVC received our case from csc,just waiting case number.  I have a few questions on this next part of the adventure. once we have the MNL # can we go ahead and schedule the appt,medical and cfo? or do we have to wait until the consulate has the case marked as ready? or does the being marked as ready only pertain to when we send in the ds160?   thanks

Take a look at my timeline.... its was very straightforward and might answer your question.

12/19/16....Emailed NVC asking for case information as it was never received (I know its too early - Just Do It Anyway)

Never received the NVC hardcopy but as Sagot and Greenbaum have beat into my skull... you dont need it.

 

You can submit the DS160 when you are ready to schedule your interview - just make sure to leave yourself enough time for the medical and shipping the beneficiary the necessary forms/support docs (i-134, divorce decree, etc)

 

I suggest this:   

Send an email to NVC now by going here:

 

https://secureforms.travel.state.gov/ask-nvc.php

 

You fill out the form.  They will respond within two weeks with the exact same information on the hardcopy.  Print it in case you never get your hard copy.  But then again - you dont need the hard copy as I was able to printscreen and get the info when logged into the NVC.   AGAIN -   Thats only if you want a hardcopy;   Otherwise screenshot will do.

 

 I know I sound like a parrot repeating it 13 times -but someone will come in behind me and kick me in the head for saying you need it.   I acknowledge you dont need it - but Im a stickler to have my t's crossed and i's dotted.  The only cost is an email.  What have you to lose?

do we need to wait for the case to show "ready" status before sending in the ds160?   I have my paperwork ready to send to her (134) ect

 

I did send in an email earlier today asking for case information due to several mentioning that they would not respond until it was actually shipped to the embassy. figured i could use that to hopefully track its movement to manilla

I need help!

Our nvc status says ready since Dec 22, 2016 but i never recieved packet 3 from US embassy philippines.. do i need to wait packet 3 to arrive before we can scheduled an interview??  Any repsonce will be highly appreciated

I don't believe Manila has a "Packet 3" (Bangkok and other embassies do.) There are plenty of folks going through the Manila embassy who can help you here.

I believe JIM said that manila does not do a packet 3 just send in ds 160 and schedule your appointments

No need to wait. All you need in Manila to schedule an interview is your case # and a valid passport.

I think at the top of the Philippines forum page it should be in bold headings....there is no packets in Philippines K1 Visa process, haha, seems to be one of the simplest embassies to work with from what little I've seen while following in VisaJourney so far.

it will be on January 27 at 6:40 in the morning..

Our interview is the 26th at 640am ,she wanted an early appt so she can fly back home that afternoon.
