you can start filing your ds 160 now that you have the new case number. your fiancee has their passport? you will need that too.

Just peeking in at the newer K1 case progressions and thought I'd comment on this. The DS-160 can be filled out as soon as you have your USCIS NOA2 receipt number. This is what it asks for. Also the DS-160 is valid for as long as the information on it doesn't change :)

Christmas came early for us! My fiancee got her visa today, pretty exciting! Only 4 days after the interview and they even sent it via 2GO to the mall nearby. Sorry to hear about many others being delayed, so many variances between the different countries processes.

I hope you are doing fine.

According to the NVC webpage our case 'SNJxxxxx' is still "In Transit" since Dec 21, 2016. The message says: Your case is in transit to the Consular section. Your interview date was also provided to you by National Visa Center.

I think that the Consulate in San Jose is closed due to holidays :(.

I need to know if they will reach out to me in order to pick the list of items I should collect before the interview or if I have to call them.

I am getting worried :(

Don't panic! If you look at my signature, you'll see that it took a ridiculous 13 DAYS for the Bangkok embassy to receive my approved petition! To top it off, they received the physical file and then took 10 days to process it. That was the really annoying part!

Anyway, just wanted to offer some words of encouragement. Most embassies receive cases from the NVC much faster than the Bangkok embassy.

What should I do if when I did the page to do the interview I wrote a passport number of my girlfriend wrong, and now pay the 265.00 but there is a wrong number in the confirmation
