Got NOA2 on Dec 7, and got case number after calling the NVC today :) Looks like my application was shipped off to the embassy on the 21st

I received a letter from NVC on December 24 sating that they will be sending our packet to the Embassy. The letter also has the case number. Should We begin with the DS160 or wait until she receives something from the embassy?

you can start filing your ds 160 now that you have the new case number. your fiancee has their passport? you will need that too.

Still at NVC since Dec. 9. In AP. I have the case# and invoice#.

I had no idea you could be in AP even before the case arrives at the embassy. That sounds strange to me.

So when you get the number from NVC, you can go ahead and do the visa application and set up interview right? Or is it different for each embassy
