Tried to track my case with ceac but it says invalid case number and I called and verified am I checking too early?

Figured it out, it comes under immigrant visa

I've been loosely following this forum on VJ. I've been happy with the speed of the K1, however; upon receiving my NVC case # on 12/09/16 it has been a stand still of "still in process". Is anyone else at this step?

I would call and inquire on the status.

I know each embassy is different, but for packet 3, how do they deliver it to the beneficiary? Is it email or by mail? My fiancé says the mail system isn't so great where he is so Im a bit concerned.

Just got off the phone with NVC-they received our case and I got the case #! It's been 18 days since NOA 2! Thanks to everyone for posting your updates which prompted me to check in the first place

We were a bit fortunate to get an email on the site from some couple doing cr1 in Malawi(not many of us) and they told us of an alternate rx because the other American left town for Xmas. My girl went to,the embassy and waited 2 hours and they said we need your packet 1st but they said since u waited voila. Hopeful the other rx is around Monday/Tuesday. Then once NVC kit arrives we can schedule for early January it seems...maybe we can be on the same flight here coincidentally

I googled this really quick and found someone who had a similar experience- seems to just be a generic message that you can ignore

Approved 11/30 git my NVC number, it was received and was sent to lagos today!

Just what I thought.

USCIS has pretty much stopped approving I-129F's and this is allowing NVC to catch up. ( I realize that NVC does more than just K-1's )

Only 2 weeks and 2 days pretty darn good.

Did you call NVC to ask for the case # or did you receive their notification???

Our NOA2 was issued on Nov 29, 2016, now waiting for case #.

Don't panic! It took our case 13 days to go from "in transit" to "ready" at the embassy. Keep in mind that your petition is most likely already at the embassy. The staff simply need to process it.

My received date was 10/18/2016 and my NOA1 notice date was 10/20/2016. I still haven't heard anything since.

I see others on here that had their NOA1 date a few weeks before mine and are already interviewing. And I wave seen others that had their NOA1 date after mine and have already gotten their NOA2.

With the holidays coming up I feel there isn't much of a chance I'll get my NOA2 before the end of the year ;(

I feel if I call the USCIS the person on the other end won't be helpful at all.

Is anyone else in the same position I'm in???

You're not alone. Jim is also waiting for his NOA2 as well. I doubt the USCIS Tier 1 person will be of any help. If I recall correctly, the target processing time for I-129F's is 5-6 months.

Excellent news, my fiancée's interview went perfect at the Manila Embassy, our Visa is approved! Should have it in her hands within 5-10 days! Yah!
