Sure. Use the CEAC immigrant visa status check. You can also contact the embassy after 1 week has passed to see if they've received it yet.

another good bookmark for me to save thanks :-)

Excited to see everyone's progress. Quick question - in the consulate information in our interview country's "portal" it says that my fiance should get his vaccines before the medical - is this true? Looks like he will need Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and Influenza. Jim, I also saw your recommendation to do the TB test ahead of time. Does it make sense to do both of those things before the medical appointment?

Case status is "ready" and currently finishing up DS-160, gathering loads of paperwork, and trying to get everything in order. I didn't realize this stage would feel a little more complicated than getting the I-129F together - but confident we'll do it, like the many people before us!

Good luck to the rest of the October people waiting on approvals!

Hello,

Each country may have slightly different requirements. I'm only familiar with the Philippines. You may want to ask at the region forum for your fiance's country.

If medical is being done soon then you might as well wait and let the US medical contracted facility take care of it.

I just had my GF get a TB test and x-ray over a month ago and we haven't even been approved yet for NOA 2.

if they said TB then we could have gotten the treatment started 2 months in advance.

Not required for you to do this though.

My fiancee took matters into her own hands because of the cost of the vaccines at the panel physician's office in Bangkok. So, yes, you can have the vaccines done ahead of time if it's more convenient for your fiancee and/or saves money. I have heard that sometimes the panel physicians won't accept proof of vaccination for certain vaccines. So it's quite variable. And the advice to post in the region-specific forums is spot-on. Lots of folks with Filipino partners here so I'm sure there's a wealth of information!

Congrats to everyone who's making progress in NVC! :) Just a general question, but does anyone know how long NVC is closed for the holiday? I was kind of guessing Christmas through New Years.

Fiancee finished day 2 of St Luke's medical and she got everything needed in hand for the interview to take with her, passed with flying colors. She's just sore from vaccinations.

Exciting, she will have her interview next Monday. I also got my February vacation/time off approved today..crazy how things are working out for us. I'm going to go to her and fly back with her, should be a great time but sad for parents because she is leaving.

Sorry to hear about hold ups for others, the waiting isn't fun, hang in there!

Hi, National Visa Center is a Federal Agency they will be closed Monday Dec 26th and Monday January 2nd.

They should be open all other times with a possible short day on Friday the 23rd.

Having said that the office will likely be a skeleton crew from 23rd to the 30th of December.

That is incredible. Congrats again.

Yeah the shots are no fun but the illness would be even worse.

February has some great deals I got mine directly on EVA website $570 RT to Manila.

Congrats to you guys on your progress so far! I know my fiancee is concerned about getting homesick and being away from her family, too.

Also, our case's CEAC status just got updated to READY!!!!!!! What a coincidence because my fiancee just received the I-134 and financial support docs I sent her last week.
