DHL tracks the transfer of your case from NVC to embassy so you wouldnt be able to track anything up until your case leaves NVC for your embassy. By the way you dont need the NVC number to track it but you need to know when it left NVC.

That's the part I fail to wrap my head around. I cannot follow with the instructions someone posted on how to decrypt and guess the tracking number.

So I figured I would wait until I had all my numbers and case numbers before trying to understand it again and from what you said I don't need any of that.

For now I'm going to get that ds160 filled in and ready to submit and get that fee paid hopefully in time for the visa to get jacked thru the moon.

Thanks again.

DHL tracking really isn't all it's cracked up to be. In the end, the only "true" tracking number is your NVC case number. You can track the package all you want on DHL; nothing further can happen (packet 3, etc.) until the case is "ready" on the CEAC site.

So now I'm a little panicked because I helped my fiancee submit her DS-160 and pay the MRV fee before the CEAC status turned to "ready." Is anyone aware of problems which may arise due to this kind of timing? At any rate, we're still waiting for our case to become "ready" at the Bangkok embassy. It's been over a week since DHL showed that they received the package. So frustrating!

For mine when it said ready it just meant that the Embassy has received my 129F packet ready for interview scheduling

People (including myself) rightfully desire to be reunited with their partners. So every day that we spend without them is an eternity. Perhaps there's a little bit of jealousy when one of us receives good news a few days (or weeks) ahead of others?

Let's try to keep this thread positive and not spend our energy calling people "whiners" just because they want the process to move faster.

The instructions I have followed from other guides and the advice I've heard is to do the DS-160 after you have your NVC number. (not the hard copy)

http://dennyeyberg.wixsite.com/filipino-am-visa/manila-process-usem

My concern about jumping the gun is that some people may submit this form before the case is "READY" and run into problems later.

It only takes 30-45 minutes to fill out the DS-160 the hardest part is getting the digital Photo to accept and load.

Not sure how doing this one step ahead of time allowed you to have an interview a month earlier.

I realize the interview slots can fill up fast.

Sorry our whining is upsetting you.

I see your I-129F approval took all of 25 day some of the members are waiting double that so please excuse our moaning.

Congrats to you both.

When I said "jump the gun" I should have quoted the post I was referring to about the DS-160.

I was not responding directly to TandD2016 specifically at that time.

The info about DHL tracking is excellent.

I was interested in your advice about the waiting for the nvc# before submitting the ds160... But I wasn't the one complaining about whining. Lol I think you confused my post with someone else?

If anyone is complaining about the "whining"... Perhaps they should find another forum for help.

you know that's really rude and if you don't like people being able to have something in common and vent then why stay or even comment. Some of us aren't lucky to have been approved in 25 days....it will be two months for me of waiting for my NOA2. Im being patient but my fiancé is having a hard time...but I'm not going to go into all of that. This forum has helped tremendously, and appreciative of all of the feedback. I'm sure if you were still waiting like some of us, you would be moaning and groaning as well.
