Hi Everyone!

I'm jumping into this thread a little late in the game. Better late than never! I figured I'd add to the thread and give everyone another set of dates to compare to.

Here are our dates:

I-129F Sent: 10/6/2016

I-129F NOA1: 10/11/2016 (This is when I received a text)

I-129F NOA2: 11/10/2016 (This is when our case status changed online, no text was received)

NVC Received: 12/5/2016

Case # Assigned: 12/6/2016

So now we wait for our case to be sent to London! I'll update here when I find out when it has shipped.

I have my NOA2 hard copy... it does have a different recipt date than Noa 1 and actual recipt day

NOA 2 in upper left corner should have Receipt date of I-129F then below that the "notice date" of approval.

The NOA 1 upper right "notice date" should match the Receipt date on NOA 2.

I have them both in front of me here.

For time line on VJ should be Notice date from NOA2.

Hello Everyone!

I received my NOA1 saying that the case was received on October 13, 2016,,,Still waiting to hear on my NOA2...Im starting to panic...Is this normal?

Is it normal to panic or is it normal for the USCIS to take up to 5 months to process an I-129F petition? Recent approvals haven't taken beyond 30 days. Are you sure you didn't get an RFE or some other correspondence from USCIS?

Thank you for the response, I am aware that it could take up to 5 months...I truly hope that it doesnt. I am also aware that most approvals are around 30 days liek you said, but I have not recieved any notification since my NOA1, if there was an RFE I'm sure i would've been notified by now... I just dont know what the hold up is..I pray for the best..

While I wait for case to reach NVC, I was starting to plan the next big phase leading to the interview and subsequent entry of my fiance to the US. Our consulate is Mumbai and if I remember correctly we should be able to select our interview date, right?

Needless to say, we want the VISA in hand as soon as possible :goofy:

What is the guideline on how we should go about selecting out interview date?

Great news. Make sure your partner has all police clearances if they worked outside of Haiti for more than 6 months.

You'll need to get in touch with your consulate/embassy for more details on the specific next steps. General instructions are provided here: K1 Fiance Visa Process Flowchart (you're at step 6).

HELLO everyone!

We got approved today.. soo happy!

Incredibile. Even with an RFE you still got NOA 2 in under 40 days.

Petitoner (Kano) should call NVC on the 21st of Dec and every other day until you get your NVC number -(that is what I would do)

Congrats.

I bet your partner was happy.

Actually...it looks like it's taking around 40 days to process I-129F petitions based on VisaJourney data:

So, don't panic just yet. As others have said, the holidays are coming up so you might have to wait longer than average.

As you can see below you are just one of many from mid-october who are still waiting.

I'm confident these will all be cleared out before Christmas.

Please keep in mind some of these members have not been active or accounts closed but there are 49 VJ members still waiting with NOA 1 - October.
