Do you get a different # from the NVC that is used on the DS-160 form, or do you complete it using your USCIS #? Thinking we might squeeze through NVC before December leave, but realistically thinking early January. Then everything will find its way to the embassy. I am travelling back to Malawi for 1 week in January just to break up the long 6 months process and separation. Maybe a beach wedding here in June?

Yes different number completely it will start with 3 letters and the rest will be numbers for example MNL for Manila ##########

You need the NVC number to fill out the DS-160 and create and account.

You said in your prior post that you might get your RFE copy and looks like you were right.

It's all good news though. You are very near to getting approved.

Question: What "site" did you meet your partner?

It appears as if you put "social network" site. but did not list the actual name of the network?

I'll go out on a limb and say Facebook?

I too put NO to international marriage broker site.

Mentioned on my I-129F that it a FREE site for ANYONE to use

Aside from that I attached a copy of their TOS or Terms of Serivce

Basically it tells who they are and what they do.

So all you have to do is reply and give them a copy of the terms of service with a letter that says it is NOT IMBRA.

You did not pay some company to go out and find a partner for you.

Please make a copy of everything you send back in the event it gets lost so you can resend if needed

Send it with USPS delivery confirmation which is free with priority mail.

Follow any and all instructions they told you in the letter which I believe includes returning a copy of the form so they can associate it back to your file.

If you have your Hard copy NoA 1 I would include that to unless it tells you specifically NOT to.

Tell them this is not an IMB site. You did not pay for your bride.

That was EVIL LOL i read that and was like #@$^@* then you were joking I printed out all 18 bloody pages of the TOS my printer is begging for mercy! there were several threads regarding imbra any one specific thread? I am going to over night the rfe return so they should have it no later than tuesday. Do i need to type out a page addressing each point they had for the RFE? i missed the notarized page of my divorce,that one i knew as soon as i got the RFE notice on the app. they asked for name change proof as well but it does not apply to either one of us.

Called NVC today, the representative stated that they haven't received my case from USCIS. That was almost 40 minutes of being on hold, just to get that info, but at least this representative was way more pleasant than the one from my previous encounter.

Just to be clear do not actually say "You did not pay for your wife" LOL

Tell them you met on FC and it is not considered an IMB. Advise that you have attached the TOS for FC.

Basically they are required to ask for this info even if they know from 5,000 cases before , I'm not kidding here that FC is NOT a IMB organization.

They are going through the motions because the law was made to protect women who come here. Some people who say they meet on Facebook are even being RFE'd.

Not every case it is up to the reviewer but they are required to check and ask for IMB.

Ok interesting so you are saying they had a total of 3 things to address on the RFE?

Glad you have a notarized page try to get more if possible you may need them in the future.

If they asked about name change then you need to address that. Tell them "regarding your RFE question number #XX - name change. No names were changed during the divorce" or what ever the case may be.

JIM: I laughed after readng the whole sentence it was just initial reaction LOL I made bullet points for each request explaining each one. the divorce papers were an easy one. i just explained there was no name changes involved for either of us for the second one the third i explained the site was not an imbra site and that it was free to use for anyone that chose to. and that i did not pay anyone to help me meet my fiancee' . i printed all 18 pages of the TOS and then highlighted the parts where they specifically state they are not a marriage broker site.

Jim: thanks for all your help,i do appreciate it very much. those two threads pretty said to do what you suggested and I went ahead and hand wrote my comments. I will send it out overnight from the post office so they *should* get it by tuesday. Hopefully it will satisfy their requests. maybe we get get that approval update before Christmas
