My NVC case status is showing as READY.

Does this mean the embassy has the file?

Yep! And you can send in Packet 3 if you have everything.

Our case was updated to "in transit" today! Woo hoo! It should arrive at the embassy by 12/6. (I was able to locate the DHL waybill number using a trick I found here on VJ.)

Good luck, everyone.

Niiice! We're on day 16 after NOA2, so I guess we'll start calling NVC next week. Hopefully we can use that little trick to track our case soon. :)

We havent gotten any instructions from embassy yet regarding it. Do we have to call them?

Some (most?) embassies have Packet 3 and 4 available on their web sites. You'll need to visit the embassy specific to your fiancee's country for more details:

Best of luck to you. 26 days feels like a really long time for USCIS to ship a document to NVC. Ugh!
