Is it possible to call and check up on your I-129f at CSC?

You can call the question is will you get through and if you do what will they tell you. Most people get the same answer which is to tell you to wait. They may refer you to their website Which states I-129f is currently taking 5 months and to call back after that . However we all know the website info is incorrect lol

We got our text/email confirmation for NOA1 last November 4 and its been 20 days, still no NOA1 hard copy... ?

On November 16 the uscis had the RFE's answer they asked for the birth certificate, and so far I have no answers I'm worried

So I called NVC and got a case # / invoice ID #

I am trying to enter the number here to check status / pull up information on page:

(Select Pakistan, Islamabad, and NON IMMIGRANT VISA option)

But it keeps giving an invalid case number? Is this the wrong place to check or do we still have to keep calling in to find out once it has left?

Well today i checked app and i got rewarded with an RFE But on the positive side it was not a denial. So I guess I have to wait and see what they are wanting me to send to them

I feel like i should know but when its sent to nvc, why do we need call them? What are the next steps? I read k1 timeline, but can't connect the dots. So in 3 weeks we get a new case #? The do we pay fees and the packet gets sent to foreign office and our fiancee will hear from them? Glad to be moving forward but its like survivors guilt knowing not all are pushing on yet. ?

I believe,but not certain that the case number you get from the nvc is used on the DS160 form. other here can correct that if not true but I think that is what its for. I got to at least get RFE so its a step forward but back at same time

Yes, you get a new case number which is specific to the embassy where your fiancee will be interviewed. It usually begins with three letters (BNK for Bangkok, MNL for Manila, etc). The DS-160 specifically requests the USCIS case number, not the NVC number.

The idea behind calling the NVC is to get the case number as early as possible so you can begin the remaining steps in the process. These steps are embassy-specific so be sure to get the relevant information from your embassy's web site.

We don't remember how we found each other though, or who followed who first, but whats important is that things worked out. What about you?

I'm sorry to see you got an RFE! Hopefully it is easily fixed. Your case will probably be approved pretty quickly after USCIS receives the material, which is uplifting! I hope the RFE hardcopy gets to you quickly so you can continue on.
