JIM;

do you know why for one person may wait 16 days for approval but others may go 30 or even 45 days or more without an approval or even an RFE? Do previous divorces and or death of a spouse add more time to check out? Just curious if you or someone else here knows more of the fine details involved in their decision making.

3 october our package 129f are recived and now we are at NVC and transit to US consulate i know it was fast

To be honest it is just luck of the draw. There are hundreds of cases and they are sorted out amongst the case workers. Some work faster than others. Some have more complex files to review.

I know they are on a deadline to do certain case actions before specific time frame so that no cases get left behind.

One thing that has been fairly constant is the visa journey timeline estimates which gathers info that member input.

Maybe tonight or Friday will be your night who knows but it will come eventually.

Hang on for the ride!

Congratulations to everyone approved. I remember my approval text came at like 10:45pm. It said case updated like John's...kind of a panicky feeling as you struggle to get to the USCIS web page.

Hi Troy I noticed your timeline that you called NVC on the Nov 21 call them back 21 days from the day you received your approval. NvC has been averaging 21 days lately with them receiving K1 approval package. I myself am waiting out my 21 days, Best of luck to you!

I am going to check with them again on Monday the 28th. I have a good feeling it will be there by then. I will say whether it is time of year or just a more streamlined process but this time the visa process appears to move a bit more fluid. I can remember when the NOA2 would take 3-4 months.

Hey no problem.There is IGOR's list but parts of if are hard to load especially October and November.

The signature is meant more for people who use this thread plus it helps me pass the time...LOL

Hello everyone! Happy thanksgiving! Just a question. If a couple broke up do we have to call USCIS to cancel our k1 application?

Sorry to hear it did not work out.

I am far from an expert on any of this,but I would certainly call USCIS if you are sure there is no getting back together. no sense in them continuing to process the case if you and your fiancee no longer wish to be together.

You are not required to do so however if you do wish to cancel a letter with signature from the petitioner would likely be needed along with a copy of the NOA.

One reason to cancel would be that it won't be a problem if you later were to petition someone else.
