I see maybe they couldn't find your prior petiton's file so they just want you to clarify.

Good news is once you get that sent back you should have approval in 10-14 days (finger's crossed)

I would make a complete copy of EVERYTHING they sent you and Everything you send back.

Sign and date the form (I assume there may be a place for that already on the RFE)

And finally send via delivery confirmation USPS for peace of mind so you know when and if it gets there.

I know there are a lot of October filers waiting who filed before me. Hope USCIS can get them all cleared out soon.

Thanks

Jim

I forgot all about Igor's list. It is the first time I have heard it mentioned during this petition, but I have looked at it in the past.

They are looking for details of my previous I-130 filing. Luckily I have the A# from it. However, I am not sure what to write in the line that says "Filing".

Also, I dont have any documents either from the past. These are likely with my ex and its never an easy proposition to retrieve those :(. Although, it does not seem like they are looking for supporting docs.

Well that blows goats.

I'm gonna get an RFE for the same reason then.... I just don't know it yet.

I'm in the same boat I previously did an i130 back in 2003. She received green card and we divorced in 2005. It was a rebound relationship I should not have married.

Nevertheless I have absolutely NO information as to her A# or her filing dates. I HOWEVER made an appointment and went down to the USCIS field office and asked them for this info.... And they would not give it to me. You have to do freedom of information request which takes 10 months. They will give you all information.

The difference being between mine and yours is that I wrote UNKNOWN and attached additional document explaining that I do not have any of that information, as well as I provided her full name and also provided marriage and divorce dates. I explained her attorney also does not have this information as they destroy all files after 7 years. Getting it from her - my ex... May actually require waterboarding as she's not inclined to help me because she knows it's for a new spouse although it's almost 20 years later.

So hopefully the fact that I provided as much as I could and wrote UNKNOWN in the info sections for A#... In end result I out in "permanent resident"

Did you fill in all the sections or leave them blank,?

I forgot all about Igor's list. It is the first time I have heard it mentioned during this petition, but I have looked at it in the past.

It's a great tool but I can't get it to populate or scroll down to November for unapproved or all petitions.

It seems to get stuck in August because the list is so long I guess.

I had left all the fields blank as I could not connect the dots between I-130 and petition for permanent residency. Duh!

The reason why they may have asked me for the details is because the last name of my ex-wife I have provided matches the divorce decree, but not the immigration petition. She has a middle name which got included in her last name for the latter filing.

Luckily for me, I had a copy of the back of her green card that I seem to have copied years ago for some reason. I found this as an attachment in one of my emails.

I am hoping the best for you.
