Which number did you call? And did they give you the it can take up to 6 weeks spiel?

I called them at 603-334-0700. The guy was pretty terse with me so I just thanked him for the update and didn't bother with any further interaction. Some folks here on VJ have said that the evening NVC people are nicer. I think that's true based on my experience so far!

Same, NOA2 date 11/1. Have not arrived yet.

Good to know we're not alone! How often are you calling? Some people here call daily or even twice a day. I wish I had time for that!

I called last week and it had not arrived. Looking at the September filers, it seems that our batch is coming closer and technically should be sometime this week they receive it.

I did call pretty early in the morning, maybe they hadn't had time to process the batch from this weekend?

I can try calling this evening but I doubt there will be any new update

Can anybody tell me what this means? Are we getting an RFE? :(

No. Everyone has that message saying they received your case and are mailing you the NOA1.

I have not gotten an RFE myself (yet) but I am told its very clear on the website/app that you are getting an RFE if you are lucky enough to receive one. That message you have will sit there the entire time. Mine still says that and Im 23 or 24 days in....

We are basically right there with you. My RFE receipt came Monday the 14th, hopefully they process it before Thanksgiving recess. I returned it the same day I got the hard copy.

One week out from receipt of RFE response...been a long day. I am hopeful by wednesday something good comes through. Still worried about the 'wet signature' on the divorce decree.

Got the RFE hard copy today. It was an oversight on my part but an easy fix. Other than the info they are needing, what else should I send? A cover letter?

I would imagine you'd also want to include your RFE letter and NOA1 as well.

They are looking for details of my previous I-130 filing. Luckily I have the A# from it. However, I am not sure what to write in the line that says "Filing".

Also, I dont have any documents either from the past. These are likely with my ex and its never an easy proposition to retrieve those :(. Although, it does not seem like they are looking for supporting docs.

I was getting ready to ask you what the RFE was for. I saw some in the USCIS app for missing signature and no payment on I-129F.

Yes I'm glad I kept my documents from my prior filings.

The A# will help them tremendously. I assume the I-130 was from over 8 years ago otherwise you would think they can find that info in their data base from all the other info you gave them.

Result of Form I-130 Filing would be what ever happend for example: Petition denied, Petition and Visa approved but you divorced and now he/she is a US citizen or back to his/her home country..etc...

Tell them what was the result of the petition and what her immigration status is now.

I say his/her because I do not want to assume anything.

From your profile it does not show your gender.

Anyway at least it wasn't from not putting N/A somewhere.

Let us know how it goes

Jim

Jim, The previous petition was filed in early 2010. The previous beneficiary had filed under a slightly longer last name. I will add the details as you suggested. Thank you.

Also, look forward to seeing your approval anytime now. Good luck!
