anyone contact NVC today to see if they got their case?

Not yet. November 17 is the 14-day mark for us so I won't call until then. From what I've seen here on VJ, it seems like NVC is taking longer than usual.

Hey Jim... Everything seems to be quiet on our timelines... Would an RFE been expected by now if we were so lucky to have been picked? What's the average timeline NOA1 to RFE if such a stat exists?

I would say average is 30 days or less from when you send in your NOA 1 before you would get an RFE.

Lets hope none of us get one of those.

Jim

603 334-0700So I tried calling the NVC at 603 334-0700

All I get is a greeting message saying they are full right now, and then the call hangs up? Is there a waiting queue or something or do we just have to keep calling till we get lucky

That's the immigrant visa # -- try this one. (603) 334-0888. I got someone on the line quickly last week (10 minute wait, at most, if i remember correctly).

I stand corrected.

I just looked at some RFE timelines and many are not getting them until 45 days to 2 months after NOA 1 so..anybody's guess.

Ugg!

Just called today with NOA2 date of 11/1, not in yet

I think average is around 20 days or so looking at September filers

I believe you might have dialed the wrong number and it's possible they gave you incorrect information (petition has not arrived when, in fact, it may have). From what I've seen posted here, 603-334-0700 is the correct number because the K1 visa is a nonimmigrant visa (with immigrant intent).

So one person is saying 603 334-0700 is the immigrant visa

Then there is (603) 334-0888 for non-immigrant visa?

Can some one clarify whats the right number to call?

Fiance visa is a nonimmigrant visa correct?

Maybe I am wrong, but the 0700 number would never lead me to a prompt, and I'd always get hung up on ("We're too busy. Call back later."). I have a fiancee visa. I called the 0888 number, which answered and prompted me with a menu that lead me to someone who checked for my fiancee visa USCIS case # -- wait for answer less than 10 minutes.

Phone (for immigrant visa inquiries only):

(603) 334-0700. Customer Service Representatives can speak with you Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight EST, excluding holidays.

Phone (for nonimmigrant visa inquiries only):

(603) 334-0888. Customer Service Representatives can speak with you Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight EST, excluding holidays.

08/16/18 - Submitted IV Application and Documents

09/17/18 - Case complete at NVC

11/13/18 - Received interview letter from NVC
