Thank you very much for your help! You're so nice!

Thank you!!!!!

No problem. I've been through this process before so I know it can be stressful and confusing.

NOA2 letter received today! :) Moving forward, only question I have is that it says it was forwarded the listed consulate...I'm hoping it is referring to the one in our original I-129f since it doesn't actually list it on the NOA2...am I worried for nothing? And what do I do next besides gather information for the affidative of support and wait for the consulate to communicate back with me or with my fiance in the Philippines?

Hey all, hope everyone is having luck with their cases!

I am preparing everything that I need for the interview and have some Qs about the affidavit of support (i134).

We started collecting everything quite a while ago, all we need now is a letter from my fiance's (petitioner) bank.

What I am worried about is his letter from employer. He works at a university and it's quite difficult to get an official letter from them with all the information necessary. We have 1) a letter stating that he is and has been employed since whatever date 2) and his contract which shows what his position is and how much her earns.

Do you think it will be okay to present the letter and the contract, or is it totally necessary to have all of that information on a letter from the company?

Does anyone have any other tips on assembling the necessary documents for the i134?

TIA!

Wow that is actually GOOD news.

I bet you want to know why.

Well it's because your RFE came only 12 days after your NOA 1 That is extremely fast.

Once you give them what they are asking for your NOA should be issued 7-21 days after that on average.

Congrats.

Have you given any thought about what the RFE is for?

If you think it's for more proof of relationship then simply send in MORE evidence, Chat logs, photos, etc.

Good Morning.

The letter you have plus the contract are fine. More importantly would be pay stubs, tax returns and even W-2's.

Best of luck

Thanks Jim, much appreciated.

As I understood it, we would need the letter from employer and letter from the bank with bank statements from the last year. What am I missing? On the i134 instructions form it asks for tax returns if you're self employed, no?

What is this business of pay stubs? How many? GAH! Now I'm panicking :/ Not that we don't have time...I just hoped we were more ontop of it than this.

Really appreciate your advice though, thanks!

Well this is the best news I've heard. Very impressive.

According to your time line it took only 21 days to approve plus another 6 to get the NOA 2 to you.

Did you find out earlier in the week via Text or email or USCIS App that is was approved or is the NOA 2 hard copy letter your first knowledge?

Maybe you mentioned that in an earlier post. Sorry hard for me to keep up with everyone.

Anyway a big Congratulations to you both.

What did your better half in PI say when you told her the news that your petition was approved?

I checked my prior NOA 1 and NOA 2 and you are correct. It only says Philippines on NOA 1 so nothing to worry about.

Oh. Make a COPY of the NOA 2 and keep it in separate location. Scan it to your computer if you can. It is an important document that is extremely hard to replace and will be needed by

your fiancee in Manila during processing.

For now you get to sit for at least another 2 weeks maybe even 4 while waiting for NVC to get your file.

I would start calling them every day on day 12 or 14 to get your MLN number which is what is needed to start the rest of the process.

In the mean time go hang out at the Philippines Forum here and read the "guides" at the top of this web site regarding K-1's and Philippines.

Your heavy lifting is just about done. Now your lady gets to take over from here with your guidance.

Hello

Well the email we recieved from USCIS says they need more evidence of our relationship so maybe by tomorrow we will get the hard copy for the RFE.. im still kinda nervous.. hope for the best though!

Ok later today you know what you need to do then.

If you are communicating by phone app or FB start taking screen shots giving a wide range of dates. Make sure the dates are visible on the screen shots and you can even highlight them.

If you are providing financial support for your other half then print out the remittance screen for several transactions and send those as well.

Dig for more photos that you or her/him may have of the 2 of you together or of just you with her friends/relatives.

Have copies of boarding passes? take photocopies and send them too. Make it easy for the USCIS buy highlighting the dates of and destination on the boarding passes or tickets/itineraries.

Wedding ring photos an or receipts?

Deposit made on Wedding venue?

Make copies of everything for yourself before you send them off in the event they get lost in mail or at CSC.

Make a copy of the RFE letter keep that as well.

AND finally send with delivery confirmation so you can track and have a piece of mind that it made it.

Hang in there all will be fine.

Sadly I've done the K-1 before. I never had a letter from my employer and she was approved.

DON'T PANIC ! LOL All will be just fine.

If you can get one then by all means get it. The goal here is that you want to give the US embassy enough info to show that you can afford to take care of the beneficiary.

Go to your financial institution and request a letter with exactly what they are asking for. I did not do this. Instead I simply printed out a screen shot of my on-line bank summary page as well as the last 3 months of statements which I downloaded (for free) from my on-line account.

Tax returns only show what you made in the past but if you worked there for the last several years and also show current pay stubs ( I would send 2 or 3 months worth) from the same employer then this will show you are still working there.

I just read the I-134 instructions and it says to send in Duplicate. So to be safe make 2 copies for them and an extra copy for yourself in the event the other gets lost when you mail it to your beneficiary.

You can get the free tax transcripts as well.

Sorry I think i'm confusing you the beneficiary with him the petitioner but you get the idea. He needs to gather the above info the more the better.

Awesome, thanks so much!

The petitioner (fiance) will be coming here in a few weeks so I will make sure he brings ALL that with him!

You seem to know what you're talking about - any other insider tips? ;)
