USCIS Site shows that our case has been approved! Waiting for the text/email NOA2! Good heavens, that was at least three weeks earlier than expected (NOA1 received October 18th)! I could cry!

Congratulations :)

Same question. NOA2 was approved on Nov1.

When should you call to see if NVC got it yet?

I haven't seen any mention of NVC progress. It seems to be taking at least 2 weeks before NVC receives approved I-129F's. Most people here on VJ say don't bother calling NVC until at least 2 weeks have passed.

Yep. I checked she has not been to USA and thought that negated all the rest below it... oh well. I assume everything else was in order because its all they sent me.

I know the feeling! The best thing you can do while you wait is to start gathering stuff for Packet 3. It's specific to your embassy so what you'll need may vary. For Thailand, there are two documents (police report and single certificate) which will take some time to get. Also, be sure you have supporting evidence for your I-134 and a healthy amount of passport photos of your fiance. You can also get started on the DS-160.

Exciting, for sure!

I front loaded the I-129f with our relationship/supporting evidence (but will have her bring more of course and current wedding plans), I already have my W-2s from last year ready with current pay stubs (for I-134), my fiancee has the police report updated (NBI in Philippines) and her latest birth certificate on file, oh..didn't think about starting the DS-160...isn't that online? Since it is a US process I'm guessing most embassies have same or similar procedures for K-1 requirements.

Keep the encouragement coming, thanks for the response :)

Hey everybody!

I send my i-129F for a K3 Visa and the NOA1 says that my receipt number starts with LIN what means Nebraska, but I know that only California and Texas processes this type of petition and not Nebraska.

What should I do?

K-1 is Fiancee visa. Did you mistype when you put K-3 above? Are you married already is the K-3 in conjuction with a CR-1?

Where did you send your I-129F?

I'm so confused with so many different numbers and names. I'm already married. I filled a i-130 first for a IR1 Visa. Now I filled a I-129F for a K3 because the I-130 is taking forever.

Ok I get it now. That is what I thought was going on.

So again where did you send the I-129F.

Did you send it with delivery confirmation or tracking if so has it reached it's final destination?

Do you have a lawyer or someone else helping you with this?

Hang in there all will be fine.

I sent the I-129F to the Chicago Lockbox with delivery confirmation.

I don't have a lawyer and I'm doing all by myself.

I got this message:

On October 27, 2016, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number LIN**********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by November 26, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I'm sorry but it appears as if you may have sent the I-129F to the wrong lock box. Nebraska is for the I-130 but all I-129F's go to Dallas.

Don't panic though. They will simply reroute this to California Service Center or even to the Dallas Lock box if they have not returned it to you already.

However this will cause further delays but I would hope not more than a week or 2 for them to send it to the right place.

How long ago did you send the I-129F to Chicago?

AND

Did you send a copy of you NOA1 for the I-130 WITH the I-129F like it ask you to do in the instructions for K-3?

Jim

Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e): Next, file Form I-129F on behalf of your non-citizen spouse with the Dallas Lockbox after filing Form I-130. Include a copy of the I-797, Notice of Action, indicating that USCIS has received your Form I-130, on behalf of your non-citizen spouse. There is no fee when filing a Form I-129F for a non-citizen spouse (K-3). If your non-citizen spouse has any minor children seeking K-4 nonimmigrant visas, they should be listed on the I-129F filed on your spouse’s behalf.
