Questions for after receiving NOA2

I have a few questions...

1. I asked this in another thread but it will be more visible here I guess... how long is the wait typically from NOA2 to Interview in Montreal? Also how long from NOA2 to Interview in Vancouver?

2. My fiancé put Ottawa as our Consulate - so where will our case get sent to? Will Vermont Service Center send it to Ottawa and Ottawa will transfer it to Montreal, or will Vermont send it directly to Montreal?

3. We got our NOA2 now - what exactly do I expect next? I haven't quite figured it out. Also where will they send the packets - will they send it to my most recent address listed in my G-325A form? Just want to know cause I am no longer at that address although if they do send stuff there it can be easily forwarded to me by the people who live there.

1. Give or take... Montreal: 4-6 months. Vancouver: 2 months. Be aware that they schedule based on when you send back the checklist from packet 3.

2. The service centres will not send to the consulates. After approval it goes to the NVC and they assign a case number and then send to the consulates. They'll automatically send to Montreal based on the Canadian address.

3. The USC will receive something from NVC (which includes your case number) and the consulate will send to the foreign address listed on all the forms.

Vancouver interview wait time=2-5 days

Montreal interview wait time= 2-4 months

*click on "Embassy Info" at the top of your screen. Go to "C" for Canada and you'll see all the details for your embassy. Hope this helps. Congrats on your NOA2. We've been waiting for over 3 months to get ours from California Service Center so 3 weeks is quite worth congratulating!

*note that the times I put are for your interview to be scheduled (according to the Embassy info page) and not the time that you wait for the actual interview... sorry for the confusion

Thanks for the info! Just a clarification for #3 - is it the foreign address on G-325 for more than 5+ years or is it the foreign address listed at the top (i.e. the most recent) of the question on G-325 which asks you to list where you've lived the last 5 years? I think it's the most recent but just want to double check.

They likely dont even look at the G-325. They'll use the address listed on the I-129F.

Ohhhh okay. Hmm, I'm not sure what address of mine is listed there... I lived too many places :S I'll ask my fiancé what he put!!!
