Second interview and no answer (El Salvador)

First let me thank everyone here for all the help that is given to not just me but everyone that asks.

On sept 16th my fiancé had her interview at El Salvador Consulate. She was asked how we met, how we communicate, when did I ask her to marry me, why not getting at El Salvador but rather the US.

At the end of the interview she was given a green sheet that asked for passport and my Original divorce papers to be sent. Also a white paper with an email to schedule a new Interview and requesting me to attend.

We sent the paperwork and schedule the interview for sept 29th.

At the interview we were interviewed separately for almost 40 minutes each. On my interview I was asked how we met, communicate, why wanting to marry her instead of someone in the US. Asked me specific things about a surgery she had ( trying to see what I knew), etc. both of us were very confident and answered all questions with nothing but the truth.

I also told him that I was ready to marry her in El Salvador if for any reason the K1 visa got denied and go through the process of a CR1. Of course not wanting to go that route as we didn't want to stay apart.

At the end of the interview he walked us out of the office ( he had taken us to a different building from the other applicants) and told us that we would hear from the embassy in about two weeks. If we didn't to email the embassy.

I was upset but didn't showed it, I thank him and we left with a happy face.

Why do they not just tell us approve or denied? I don't like the run around.

Has anyone has had any similar experience?

The worst part is that if it gets denied I will have to fly there once again just to marry her and spend another year apart.

Thank you!

Sorry your going through this.

Uncertanty is the worst.

However on the plus side they took her passport.

Check the ceac site for updates if you see updates its also a good sign. I was in AP for 32 days with an approval and when it started updating we were issued shortly.

Yes the positive thing is they still have her passport and it has been updating the 29th and the 30th. Hopefully it continues this week.

We are also optimistic because at least it wasn't denied so there is hope in that regards.

Thanks
