Hello,

I'm a little confused about the medical exam situation while adjusting status. We had our medical exam fully done and vaccinations during the K1 process and it has not been a full year yet. So when we filed for AOS last July we only sent the form DS-2035 that we got from the clinic.

Now I see some people saying few things on the forum about seeing a civil surgeon to complete a form for us. I thought we didn't need to do that since it hasn't been a year yet since the medical exam... does this mean we will get an RFE for that?

Can someone clarify this for me? I'd very much appreciate it.

thank you

To go along with the pinned topic here on this subject, which outlines the I-693 instructions for K-1 adjustment applicants, here are the USCIS policies on this > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/555299-medical-will-expire-before-the-aos-interview/?p=7703568

Some people do incorrectly get RFEs for another medical, but many correctly do not. I would not worry about it unless asked to in an RFE or by an IO at an interview, should you have one. Also, a couple of people have recently been successful in pointing out the USCIS policies for K-1 adjusters when receiving an RFE, and were approved without the need for a new exam.
