Point #11 contradicts the first paragraph. Point #11 says "If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form" It says IF YOU ARE MISSING SHOTS.

The other link says you need it regardless of if. This point really does need clarifying. I've sent my AOS off without the I-693 and just with a copy of my DS-3025 so I guess I'll find out soon enough.

The last one is the first time I've seen it written like that, and it contradicts the step-by-step guide, which confuses things. The i-485 instructions states when required to submit the 1-693. Further down it states:

if you are a K1-visa holder you may only submit a vaccination supplement and not the entire medical.

The DS-3025, Vaccination worksheet that the overseas doctor fills out is a vaccinations supplement. Therefore we are back at this form being completed accuratly or not.

I think that VJ should update the tips and information so that it doesn't give contradictory information.

Just like the "wet" or original signature thing on the I-129f packet. Some get through, some get RFEs. We have civil surgeons at my workplace who are filling my husbands out for us.

I just read a post in the AOS forum of someone who got an RFE for not including the I-693. Their medical was within past year.

Just just depends on if you want to take the chance or not.

Well.. the difference is... the wet signature is "correct" the other might get through... In this case the DS-3025 being enough is the correct answer according to their own documentation. After seeing two ppl getting RFE's and pointing out the fault..and USCIS listening to that... That must mean that those specific CO's were simply not informed...

I'll go ahead and stick to what their forms say when my turn comes around. Fully aware It might bite me in the butt

Not necessary IF your DS3025 says COMPLETE and WAIVER requested when adjusting from a K1 and when AOS is filed within a

year of the medical.

Does not matter what the VJ guide says. It matters what the USCIS policies and the I-693 instructions say. It is NOT a requirement to see a civil surgeon for an I-693 if you had ALL the required vaccinations marked off on a properly filled out DS-3025 at the time of your K-1 medical exam, and your K-1 exam was done within a year of filing for AOS.

And if you are talking about the letter of intent signatures for the I-129F, unless you are someone else can produce actual RFEs people have received for this since 2013, then everyone 'gets through'. Not sure what the debate is still about.

What if my fiance couldnt get 2 vaccinations in the philippines, but got them here. Would she still need to go to a civil surgeon? They did her medical and skin test and everything but give her the 2 vaccines because she was on medication. They didnt check the box that says US vaccine requirements complete

If not marked complete then yes the ones she got here need to be transcribed by a CS.

Okay thank you. We just went to see a civil surgeon and are just waiting on paperwork later this week. So if we send in my wifes AOS but her ds-94 expires while we wait for an noa, what happens?

It would still be good for everyone if the VJ guides didn't contradict themselves tho...It just adds to the confusion, to an apperantly already confusing topic... (shouldn't be though really imo)..

The one in the AOS guide that states, "IF you are missing shots..." is correct. Wish it contained a link to the pinned thread here by Nich-Nick. It would help for people to be able to read about it from the guide itself.

The AOS tips are not correct. As you can see, they do not even correctly list the parts/pages that are needed to be filled out on the I-693 either. Times change, and so do the forms and instructions. There are plenty of outdated, incorrect things here on VJ. It is difficult to get the admin to change anything though. I wish it was their top priority, and that they took the initiative to keep this site's immigration info correct and up-to-date.

People need to read and follow the form instructions from the USCIS first and foremost.

I totally agree, if we have guides then why not update outdated information isn't that the purpose of this site ?!

Very misleading otherwise. Not everyone posts to be updated through comments. We should request it on the site
