Can white out be used?

I am in the process of sending out my G-325A form and noticed that the marriage date is off by 1 day. The marriage was 9/22/2016 but instead I typed 9/23/2016.

Should I use a white a white out to cross out the 3 and put a 2? Should I cross out the 3 and put the 2? Should I cross out the date and correct it?

I used a PDF to fill out the form and can easily correct the date. However, the big issue is that I have a good wet signature in blue ink.

Any advice?

Any advice? If I were you, I would just retype and resign the form, making this a non-issue.

The issue is not retyping the the form. I just don't want to pay $500 to travel back to get my fiancee to sign the form again.

I guess that I'll just cross out the error and initial it at the top.

Why do you have to visit your fiancée in person? Have them mail it to you... That's what we did.

I could do that except that she speaks another language and accessing the internet is a hassle in that country.

My fiancée would have to retype everything from the USCIS PDF and then mail it to me. With the language issue, more mistakes can occur.

When I did visit her, I actually did have her sign a couple of blank G-325A forms. The problem now is that I will have to fill out the form by hand.

I just prefer the typed form since I think that it will be more legible.

I just think that I will cross out the date and rewrite that part by hand.

Really? You couldn't just fill out the form yourself and then place a note with an arrow in her language (Haitian creole?) saying "Sign here". I mean you could do it in French too "Desole, signature ici". It's not as complicated as you are making it. If she is the applicant, she would need to be the one to correct the date and sign the correction. It does not matter who actually fills in the rest of the information.

It is that complicated.

Of course, she knows where to sign. It's the time, cost and the high possibility of the form getting lost.
