Thank you for all the information provided in this thread.

Does anyone know if there seems to be an average timeline from approval to the card being mailed?

And, is there any way to check how long it will take to be mailed perhaps online?

Thanks - K

I still didn't hear from USCIS and they are now processing cases from October 10th 2016. They received my case on Oct. 17th 2016. Is it true that if I don't hear back from them when they work on cases after Oct 17th that I can put in a request ? I also received a random email from them on monday morning saying that they are still working on my case and that they will inform me if they need anything and the last time they worked on my case was april 2nd 2018. I never put in a request so it was kinda weird to me. Hope I hear from them soon. Can't believe that most October filers received at least either an RFE or an approval.

Hmm, If you are receiving the letter from local office, it could be actual case transfer and they might schedule for an interview or they might just say thay they received your case at local office and review it (approve/interview). From your Screenshot, I do not see Statue of liberty so looks like it's not approval letter. Please update us..

Don't worry, that's perfectly normal, even if it doesn't make sense.

Here is mine, for comparison:

Today I received the hard copy from the NBC, dated April 23, 2018.

This is what it looks like:

Not sure how long it will take for the card to show up, but I'll keep you posted. I have a stamp in my passport that is valid until the end of November, and I am currently waiting for my oath ceremony letter anyway, so I'm not too concerned about the 10-year green card.

Yup, it is true!

@Nikkosan I'm in the same boat like you, however i'm a September 2016 filer, and i had my interview on April 10, 2018. IO approved i751 and N400 and told me to wait for Oath letter, 2 weeks after i received same letter like you posted congratulating me for becoming permanent resident, however no oath letter yet. Can you please advice on what should i do now. Thanks in advance

Hey YoleY!

I would go on an infopass to inquire directly with the field office. In my case the hold up was the approval of the I-751, in your case, since that's out of the way now, it may be just as simple as you're waiting to be scheduled for a ceremony. I know you're in West Palm and not Oakland Park, but I found all of the officers I've dealt with to be understanding and professionals (with a hint of BS at times, but that's ok).

To snag an appointment, you can log in here: https://my.uscis.gov/en/appointment/new?appointment

If you log on after midnight, you will usually see appointments for 2 weeks out. Usually in the morning, around 7.30/8am, you see same day appointments that have either been released or cancelled.

Best of luck!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.
