Hey Everyone, I happened to check my informed delivery today and noticed I have a package coming from USCIS In Kentucky. Needless to say I just checked the mail and my 10 yr green card was in it.

Since you filed N-400, I-751 might need to get adjudicated first and then they can process your N-400. Normally local offices does joint I-751/N-400 interview. 

 

If you can provide your NOA 1 date, I can add you in the list. Good Luck..

Question: I used a lawyer to file the initial i751 petition but received an RFE... can I go ahead and file the response myself? The lawyer did a shitty job of preparing the initial application (charged $1700) and now wants another $1000 to prep a response.  I feel we've done a better job thanks to this forum.

I dont think you are obligated to use a lawyer.

I don't think it's supposed to say that; you may need to get it corrected.  My understanding is that it should have the same "resident since" date as the previous GC, which is to say the date you first entered the US with your immigrant visa.  Hopefully someone will correct me if this is not correct.

I think that there is something totally wrong with their system! Here's my example - Processing time for N400 at my local office was 5-12 months, case inquiry date April 12, 2017. Now after the update it's 5-19 months, case inquiry date September 26, 2016! That just cannot be!

I had today my N400 interview and the officer was so nice and passed the test , but she told me that my pending I 751 still need to be adjudicated to give me the approve for the N400, and she get my l 751 and she sees that my marriage is good and everything should be fine but just can not go forward till she is done with l 751 file and this will be soon!! I have nothing now but to wait and I provide her some recent documents to prove that marriage is good
