Hey guys - i had sent USCIS just a few bank statements and other documents for 2016 but got a RFE :( now i am collecting everything from the start of our marriage (2014)  i would just advise having everything ready from the date of your marriage just to be safe.

I also feel it just depends on the person checking the file...some get approved, some get RFEs. Hopefully you all get approved without the RFE! Good Luck!

Yes, I agree it does depend on the person who checks the file. I saw you sent pretty much all the key docs. I have a question, did your lawyer send in everything on behalf of you?

So I sent the following:

- Joint Bank Statements

- Joint Lease/House Deed

- Affidavits

- Photos

- Joint Auto Insurance

- Screenshots of beneficiary Info (401k etc)

They are asking for the same stuff again...I think the issue with my case was that I did not send in documents from the date of our marriage ie 2014. Also, my lawyer never suggested that :(

Now I am recollecting everything from 2014 - 2018.

@Mohitj You sent your joint tax return right?

Yes they filed a g28 form that allows them to represent us.

I see, I heard last year USCIS tracked down something happened in May 2016 filers. That turbulence caused a long stall last year. And we became the victims. I guess USCIS pays extra attention to cases prepared by attorneys. But I'm sure you'll be fine. Wish all of us who are still in the process will win the final victory.

Hi, Is there anyone here who filed a divorce waiver. I'm curious how many people got an RFE, and how many people have to go to an interview?  Was there anyone who just got the green card without an interview or RFE?

My case is still pending, no RFE notice, no interview notice, nothing and I'm losing my nerve what's taking so long.

Hi Zsuzsanna, I filed a divorce waiver and still didn't get any updates, the last update saying that on March 4th my case was received at the local office. I am pretty sure that all divorced filers will have an interview.

Definitely not agree with this. There are tons report about waivers being approved without interview, and my close friend just got her card without interview or RFE last month. If your case is strong, I believe it's treated just like reagular filing

First time I am glad when people disagree with me :) Thank you for the info!

The greencard gets here tomorrow! That is pretty quick since we just found out April 5th through the case tracker online, and got our actual approval letter in the mail on April 9th!

(That notice is from the new "Informed Delivery" on the USPS website)

Good afternoon everyone, i finally found this topic after filing back in October 2016 and just waiting and waiting.  We finally decided to start seeing what the holdup was.  We got the stamp for passports after the greencard expired in December.  Our NOA date is 10/28/16 so i guess we will be one of the last in October to get worked on.  We did see the "transferred to local office" and thought it had to do with her N-400 filing, but we never received a letter saying it was moved so maybe we will get the 10 year card soon enough.  Anyway we tried to be patient but finally decided to get on it to see what is going on.  Ill follow and post when and if we hear anything.   Thanks for all the good information i've read on this topic thread.

Is there anyone here whose case was transferred to the local office on Feb 26th who has not heard back from USCIS? There were a lot of cases sent to local offices on Feb 26th. Mine was also transferred to local office on Feb 26th. I have seen quite a few people from the Feb 26 move to local office group get approved. I have not heard anything back yet so am wondering if it is RFE time for me :(

I am in the same situation as you... still waiting. My case was also transferred to local office on Feb 26th and haven't seen any activity since then.

Our Green Card is finally here! It arrived on Fri., April 6th and came in a small USPS Priority Mail envelope. The card says resident since 3/31/18 which must be the approval date. What a very long journey it has been! We'll apply for N-400 very soon. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting.
