Finally I got my 10 years GC but unfortunately they made a mistake on my year of birth,

my questions are can I still use this GC that my year of birth is a mistake apply for citizenship?

And another question is if I send this my GC for correction how long will it take for me to get a new one.

I SUBMITTED

1 COPY OF JOINT LEASE

2 JOINT BANK STATEMENTS

3 JOINT CAR INSURANCE

4 UTILITY BILLS

5 PICTURE OF US WITH FAMILY

6 HOSPITAL RECORDS WHEN WE LOST OUR BABY

7 JOINT TAX RETURNS

6 JOINT CAR LOAN

AND LEASE SINCE WE STARTED LIVING TOGETHER SINCE 2011

Looks decent to me. Did they asked specifically what else they want to see?

You might want to give them a call about that, it's their fault they made a mistake. What was your "Resident since" date btw? My 10 year green card didn't have my original residence since date from my 2-year conditional green card. It was the date of when they produced my card which is 03/18/18. I was wondering if it was the same for you?

Yeah, I think they have shipped out an entire batch of cards with mistakes on them. Not only does my resident since date say 03/15/18, but my expiry date says 03/29/28. I'm surprised no one there seems to have caught the mistake and these cards are continuing to go out.

I got the same issue. Should we do anything about this??? I mean, I am looking to apply for my citizenship, but is this going to be a problem?! I don't want to wait for another number of months just to get an updated green card! Ugh!

Mine wasn’t like that they put the new date of when the 10year GC was issued which is 03/30/18

Hey guys, I got the message below yesterday.I'm kinda happy and confused at the same time because after my case was transferred to local office status  it says New Card is Produced but at the bottom it states that case was received and being worked on.  ( all this update is on the Case Tracker app). The uscis website still shows local office received my case. They are messing with my emotions.

Received my shiny new Green Card yesterday!
Interestingly, it is for 10 years from the date of the APPROVAL of my petition to remove conditions, so March 2018 to March 2028.
The initial approval letter read more like it was going to be from my date of admission (IE, 2014). Anyway, I'M DONE!!
I will not be applying for citizenship, just maintaining my residency.

Good luck to all.

Hello everyone,

So I just called USCIS, and was able to talk to someone. I asked him if there will be a problem if I apply for citizenship with my 10-year green card showing an incorrect "residence since" date, and the person I talked to said, there won't be any. Now, I am not sure if this is 100% true, because as you all know, most of the time the CSRs don't exactly know what they are saying, but he did say that I don't need to apply for a replacement card if I am going to apply for citizenship, so as long as I have the document that would show my original approval (aka 2-year conditional green card). He did say, however, that if I am planning to travel, then that is when I actually need to get a replacement card, showing the correct dates. I told him that I don't want any problems along the way, especially being denied and then having to pay to $72++ citizenship fee, and he told me that he understood, and repeated to say that really, there wouldn't be any problems. Anybody else called them today?

Dubai is beautiful!! :)

You have to submit and other documents. I'd say everything you sent in with original I-751 submission,  just updated - since October 2016 till now. Bank statements, Driver Lic. with the same address,  insurances (car, health, life, house), Tax return for 2017 and etc...

everything has been submitted but i will submit them again. and I am not really worried about it let see what happens :)

I just got off the phone with them but I couldn’t speak to the tier 2 people but what the lady told me is that I can go ahead apply for my citizenship whiles my I mail my card for the correction of the error on it

Hmm, that's interesting. Did she tell you to actually send in an I-90 to replace your green card?
