Hey Everyone, I happened to check my informed delivery today and noticed I have a package coming from USCIS In Kentucky. Needless to say I just checked the mail and my 10 yr green card was in it.

Yesterday, I saw a message dated March 31st saying "we are producing your card and will mail it to you". Then, today, I get the following message saying "APPROVED"! That's funny. They said that they're producing the card BEFORE the approval came.

Every time I check the USCIS website, I trust it less...

In the website, my case went from "Sent to local office" to "Card was mailed to me". In my case, my NOA WAC still shows as "Fees were waived", while the other WAC, which wasn't showing anything until the "send to local office" trigger on March 4th, changed directly to "Card was mailed to me" yesterday. The only way I had to know my case was approved was through the physical approval letter I received in my mail box, because the USCIS Tracker still was showing as "sent to local office" after the date of my approval (March 19th). I just got back from travelling abroad and enter the US with the expired green card, expired NOA and a i551 stamp valid until November 2018, while my case was approved (without me knowing). I didn't have issues with the stamp.

I just wanted to share my case. Not everyone gets an online change before receiving the approval letter. I'm beyond happy to see the end of this long and frustrating process. I wish everyone that is still waiting good luck and be strong, the end is almost there! :)

10-24-2014 - Biometrics completed

12-09-2014 Received EAD and AP card

12/17/2014 - Interview

FIXING TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR IN MY 10 YEAR GREEN CARD

04/13/2018 - Submitted online service request about a typographical error on my Permanent Resident Card. 

04/26/2018 - CSC instructed me to send incorrect GC to the CIS Service Center with a request to expedite service due to Admin Error.

05/16/2018 - Received RECALL letter for wrong GC

05/18/2018 - Follow instructions in RECALL letter for people who already returned their GC to CIS. Instructions were to send an email to specific email address. Received answer on 05/26/2018 and mailed on 05/31/2018

06/25/2018 - Received SECOND GC with STILL WRONG DATE. I called the 800 phone number and instructed me to email uscisspecialcases

09/05/2018 - After following up my emails every 3 weeks, and FINALLY getting hold to my an agent, I was instructed to send the SECOND wrong card to CSC.

09/28/2018 - Received FINALLY my correct GC!✌️

You dont have to trust any of it now you got the physical letter which is old school but the most reliable, I got the 'Card is mailed' today also. SO I am happy that this process is over for me also. Dont write posts tale the day off and get some single malt and watch Liverpool vs Mancity champions league quarter final.

I knew today would be a good day... a notification popped up on my phone "New Card Is Being Produced"

 

NOA 21 OCT 2016

 

I received a text message yesterday from USCIS advising they were still reviewing case and no action had been taken since 21 March 2018. A few days prior to this I received the same text message that said no action had been taken since December 2016 (my appointment biometric date)

Hi guys, I filed on 10/05/16 and received my approval notice in the mail date 03/24. I didn't have an interview and my application was filed at CSC. USCIS website shows card was mailed to me on 04/03. All the best to everyone else!

Hello,

 

So I am working to collect documentation for the RFE I received and have a  few questions: 

 

  1. Did you all provide bank statements for every month since marriage? 
  2. What do you do if the utility bills/other bills are not in both of our names?

  2. What do you do if the utility bills/other bills are not in both of our names?  - You need something with both names, so  I'd not probably even send them in.. What about phone bills? Copies of Diver Licenses  with the same address on them? Car insurances? Maybe, car Title with both names on it? If you own the house - House Ins/Mortgage? Copy of  Real Estate Taxes paid with both names on it ? It you rent a house/apartment - lease agreement.  Retirement plans, with beneficiary's name on it? Life Ins (if there is one)?... Also, of course, your Tax Return for Tax year 2017 - it would show your marital status and address as well.
