Hello. Is it possible they could have sent out one NOA for both applicants since there is only one I-751 you file for parent and child? Do you not find your son's name too under the petitioner? Please update your timeline. VJ community is immensely helped by any updates you make on your timeline.

Any knowledgeable members please come forward and help out stargirl83 here.

I check and it only has my name. A friend of mine advised me to get the stamp in his passport when we go for the biometrics appointment.

October 30th is on Sunday so the post office will be closed. We were actually planning to re-send the paperwork on saturday, october 29th so USCIS gets it on Monday, October 31st ....I saw another post where someone sent their paperwork early and USCIS received it 1-day before the date provided by the USCIS Calculator and they already cashed their check so I think we should be ok if its received 1 day before...we just want to get this done so we can get this going and not worry so much anymore

Nov 1 is the earliest date you can file according to USCIS early filing calculator. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator I think this is because DEC has 31 days instead of 30 days.

Please try above link again and click on CLICK HERE to access the USCIS Early Filing Calculator at the bottom of the page.

Anyway, I do not think sending 1 or 2 days late will matter that much, so to be on safe side, I would send the package on October 30, 2016.

dilmera - hmm I think I left the c/o part of the application blank. Figured it was coming to me so they didn't need it. Hopefully it won't be a problem!!! I can't believe how torn it is, it had a rough time getting to you! I'm hoping I get mine within a week so I can move forward.

It is nothing to worry about; not filling out that part should not affect whether your application is complete or incomplete. I complained a few posts back that although I filled out the c/o part, the NOA1 did not have the c/o and wondered the reason for that section. USCIS probably read it and now they have it on my biometrics notice, JK. Actually, I should be the one worrying because I could not locate my ELIS account number; there was some error logging onto ELIS. I sent my application without that number and did not even offer an explanation why that field was left blank. It should be okay since I filed for a fee waiver and they don't really need the ELIS number.

12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.

Can I ask how long it took to get your biometrics letter from the time you got your NOA?

i received my biometric letter 2 weeks after NOA1, NOA1 date was 9/15/2016

Hello everyone!

Sent my I-751 off to the Vermont Service Centre today. Just over a month later than I wanted but had to swap States and clients at the end of September and I have been stressed about sending the stuff for the whole month! What a relief to have it gone. Although I do wonder if the evidence is good enough but wait and see I guess.

I did notice when I updated my timeline that its been about exactly 3 years since I first sent in the initial application for the green card, how time flies and so much has happened since then!

If you travel out of the country you would need this NOA1 letter along with the (expired) GC and your passport to reenter. So I suspect the names on all these documents should match. Try calling them and mention this spelling error and see if they will send you a revised NOA1.

If you are not planning to travel then the spelling error on the NOA1 is not that critical as long as your eventual 10-yr GC does not have any spelling errors

Did two years really fly by just like this?

I sent our application and it was received Oct 7, according to USPS. My card expired Oct 10. I also sent in a fee waiver request. I got everything back last week. The fee waiver was denied. And all my papers were stamped as received Oct 11.
We really don't have the money as we recently had a child, and I stopped working. I've sent in the application again with checks but they'll bounce if cashed before Friday where I will borrow money.

I'm nervous that they stamped the initial application as received Oct 11, when my card expired Oct 10. But let's see.

My AOS was so specific and detailed with evidence. This one basically just have our two years of joint filing of taxes, our new lease with both name on it, insurance papers, and the birth certificate of our son. No photos. Nothing else. Because we're a real couple and we just don't take trips, or take photos. Lol ... boring, old married couple :-)

AOS from F-1, maintaining status

August 2010 was introduced to each other during a visit in NY.
01/14/2012: Arrived at JFK with F-1 visa with the intention of studying for three years, and then do OPT. Intention was not to get married!
Yet, almost five semesters as a full-time international student later he proposed ...

04/07/2014: Married in Queens, NY

06/26/2014: I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131 and supporting documents sent to Chicago Lockbox via USPS Priority.

06/30/2014: USPS states delivery happened 6:50 am.

07/07/2014: Received NOA of I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765 dated 07/02. --- What a great 3-month anniversary gift!

07/15/2014: Received Biometrics appointment scheduled 07/31, in Long Island City.

07/31/2014: Biometrics done. Process took 45 minutes. 99% was waiting time. Awesome people working there. Good experience!

08/06/2014: Case i-485 updated to Testing & Interview on uscis.gov - - Yay!

08/29/2014: Updates on I-765, card in production as well as I-131.

09/04/2014: Update on I-485, interview scheduled for October 10th, 2014.
09/08/2014: Received combo-card. Went straight to Social Security office to get SSN.
09/15/2014: Received Social security card in mail.
10/10/2014: Interview at Long Island City. Took no more than 10 minutes. Was simple, normal questions. Was approved on spot.

ROC

10/07/2016: USPS stated I-751 was delivered. Also sent in fee waiver request.
10/19/2016: Got everything back, with denied fee waiver. They misspelled my name. Makes me wonder if they even read my application. My name is all over the papers.
10/25/2016: Sent in ROC (I-751) again, with USPS.

10/29/2016: I-751 delivered again.
11/2/2016: Checks cashed
12/16/2016: Biometrics done in LIC, Queens.
